✅ ADMAIORA USABILITY TESTS... COMPLETED!!!

We have just completed the usability tests of the smart technologies developed in the ADMAIORA project for cartilage regeneration therapy at home and for remotely monitoring the patient's healing status over time.

11 volunteers with mild or moderate knee osteoarthritis from all over Italy participated in the testing at the Biorobotics Institute. They evaluated several tools (including a wristband, a thermal camera, wearable braces equipped with ultrasound probes, a center of pressure balance, and a smartphone app) and assessed their performance and usability through dedicated questionnaires.

🔎 Angela, Giorgia, and Andrea are currently analyzing the data... but the results appear to be very promising!

A set of experiments has been completed in ADMAIORA: the research Team of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, in collaboration with BAC Technologies, performed in vitro tests on human macrophages, looking for the optimal ultrasound stimulation parameters to promote anti-inflammatory effects. The results have been submitted to a scientific journal and hopefully will be published soon.

🚨 NEW SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATION!

🔬 A recent article published in 𝘎𝘦𝘭𝘴 under the coordination of IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli in collaboration with Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna describes the chondrogenic commitment of adipose-derived stem cells within a functional hydrogel provided with RGD motif.

Such discovery may open interesting scenarios in the resolution of knee joint problems, through the use of a functional material to regenerate the extracellular matrix in the damaged articular cartilage.
