The Laboratory of Usability and Accessibility is a research unit focusing on the development of innovative products and services based on digital technologies. The two main research areas of LUA are “Usability & Accessibility” and “Interaction Design”. LUA provides comprehensive know-how in the us

er interface design (both digital and physical) and evaluation of usability, accessibility and user experience. The assessment is based on tests with users and includes the methods used by social science and cognitive ergonomics. With regard to Interaction Design (IxD), work at LUA focuses on issues related to new interaction paradigms, such as natural interaction, and the use of experimental technologies in several different fields.
