John Cabot University STAND:
aims to provide individuals with a comprehensive understanding of the nature, limits, and characteristics of Genocide, not only in Darfur, but across the globe. Our mission is to empower students with the tools to raise awareness about genocide, its consequences, prevent, and stop genocide. To do so, JCU STAND hosts: fundraisers for causes that prevent, alleviate, and
help those who have been affected by genocide and conflict; events to raise awareness of human rights atrocities; weekly forums to discuss these atrocities and their consequences in depth. Finally, at its core JCU STAND seeks to unite the John Cabot community to help out political refugees in Rome. Our community service program with the Joel Nafuma Political Refugee Center in Rome is very close to our hearts.
