Through collaboration across borders, and alongside the FOREU4ALL community of practice, we continue strengthening ties between students, researchers, staff, and local communities across the continent.

🎓 University of Glasgow (UofG) 🇬🇧

Founded in 1451, the University of Glasgow is one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious universities, operating across three main campuses: Gilmorehill, Garscube, and Dumfries.

🏰 Gilmorehill Campus, located in Glasgow’s vibrant West End, is known for its striking Gothic architecture, leafy streets, cafés, and local pubs. The campus is also home to museums including the Hunterian Museum, as well as subject-specific collections in Zoology, Anatomy, and Medicine.

📚 UofG’s Main Library holds over 2.5 million books, making it one of the oldest and largest libraries in Europe, with rare books, special collections, and extensive digital resources.

🎉 Student life thrives with 4 student unions and 250+ clubs and societies, offering events, socials, and activities for every interest — both on and off campus. Student can also easily explore the outdoors, from Loch Lomond and Kelvingrove Park to historic castles like Dumbarton and Stirling Castle, all just a short journey from campus.

🌍 With over one-third international students, strong support services, and a welcoming city culture, UofG offers an inclusive atmosphere for international students and local students alike.

🎯 The CIVIS Student Survey is the second student-led initiative of the CIVIS Student Council, organized by three student representatives from the University of Bucharest, Stockholm University and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The project aims to gather student perspectives across the 11 CIVIS universities in order to better understand academic experiences, challenges and expectations.

📊 It involves the design, launch and analysis of a comprehensive survey to support evidence-based improvements in participation, inclusion and student life within CIVIS. All work is conducted online, and one in-person coordination meeting was held in Bucharest on 10-13/12/2025 to finalize the project direction.

🌍 When the time comes, we encourage you to make your voices heard. Every response helps shape a CIVIS that truly represents its students.

🙏🏻 We sincerely thank the University of Bucharest for hosting us, the CIVIS office team for their continued support and, in particular, Mihaela Stîngu and the CIVIS institutional coordinator, Raluca Amza, for their valuable feedback during our in-person project discussions.
