Amsterdam, May 15-16th 2014

On May 15-16 the first full consortium meeting of the determinants of diet and physical activity knowledge hub (DEDIPAC) was held in Amsterdam. The first morning included a plenary session encompassing key-note speakers (for more information please visit J. Brug Blog) followed by distinct workshops of the dedipac work packages (WP). Silvia Migliaccio represented LISTANet in the WP 2.1 Determinants of Dietary Behaviours, whereas Laura Capranica, Giorgio Napolitano, Stefania Boccia, Anna Puggina, Giancarlo Condello, Andrea Di Blasio, represented LISTANet in the WP 2.2 Determinants of Physical Activity. To harmonize the criteria for the definition of the framework and systematic literature reviews, initially the workshop of the WP 2.2 Determinants of Physical Activity Behaviours was held in conjunction with the WP 2.3 Determinants of Sedentary Behaviours. Then, a dedicated workshop for WP 2.2 Determinants of Physical Activity Behaviours explored the complexity of the peculiar aspects related to physical activity behaviours chaired by Ciaran MacDonncha. Laura Capranica summarized (download presentation here) the preliminary results of the inventory of recent EU projects and the preliminary action of the systematic literature review (SRL). Following a thorough discussion on SRL, the WP 2.2 recognized the expertise of Stefania Boccia and Anna Puggina and requested them to prepare a search string useful for progressing the SRL and the definition of the framework on Determinants of Physical Activity Behaviours. LISTANet also proposed to organize a workshop for the Thematic Area 2 to be held on November 5-7, 2014 in Rome, hosted by the Sapienza University of Rome.
