From Trieste to Bordeaux and Paris: one classroom, multiple perspectives

Francesco was one of six MBA and MIRM participants who took part in the exchange with , across Bordeaux and Paris.

Over the week, the group engaged with topics such as Operations Management, Supply Chain, International Business Law and the Wine Industry.

During an Operations Management project, MIB participants brought a real company case into the discussion, based on their own professional experience, adding a practical layer to the classroom work.

And then there were the cities, shaped by their universities, research and culture, something that stayed with them beyond lectures.

🌍 6 participants, multiple nationalities, across Trieste, Bordeaux and Paris.

We look forward to welcoming KEDGE students to Trieste very soon!

Inside

Our MBA and MIRM students visited Boston Consulting Group during the 2026 Business Study Tour in Milan.

The experience included:
- A company presentation introducing BCG’s culture, values, and global impact
- Insights from recruiters and consultants on career opportunities and life in consulting
- The launch of a case study challenge that will continue at MIB together with a BCG Partner
- A networking session with BCG professionals

Three intense days across Milan that brought students into direct contact with international companies, professionals, and different business environments through presentations, discussions, and real industry insights.

Then, straight to for a live business case study alongside Alessia Soffredini, HR Business Partner, and Matteo Marchesin, Director.

Trieste moves nearly 60 million tonnes of cargo every year. For our MBA students, that’s not just a statistic, it’s a business they can experience up close.

And they had the opportunity to visit HHLA PLT Italy, a multipurpose terminal in the Free Port of Trieste. They explored the terminal and, most importantly, met the people behind it: CEO Antonio Barbara and COO Alexandru Godin.

On leadership, Barbara was clear: “In an orchestra, the conductor does not play any instrument, but ensures that every musician follows the same score.” And a principle to go with it: “always be open to feedback. Actively ask what you can improve.”

From operations, Godin added: logistics is fast, demanding, and never boring.
