June 3 is World Bicycle Day, a global celebration of cycling and its benefits for health, sustainability, and urban mobility. At Western University of Timișoara - WUT, we are marking this occasion with a special event dedicated to the university’s cycling community. The event will bring together students, academic staff, and administrative colleagues who share a passion for cycling, encouraging active lifestyles and environmentally friendly transportation. Through this initiative, WUT reaffirms its commitment to promoting sustainable mobility and fostering a stronger community of cyclists within the university.

Summer Spanish Courses in Jaca! ☀️🏔️

Want to learn Spanish or even train to become a Spanish teacher this summer? The Universidad de Zaragoza has an incredible opportunity for you! 🎓✨

We are offering places for students from UNITA universities to join our Summer Courses in the town of Jaca (Huesca).
Here is what you can choose from:

Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) 🗣️
Perfect to improve your Spanish (Levels A1 to C1)!
• 📅 When: 1st period (3–14 August) or 2nd period (17–28 August 2026).
• ⏳ Duration: 2-week intensive courses (50 hours total).
• 🎒 What’s included: Free tuition (saves you €385!), learning materials, certificate of attendance, and amazing cultural activities and excursions around the Pyrenees!.
• 👥 Places: 8 free spots available.

Spanish Teacher Training Courses 🧑🏫
If you want to become a Spanish teacher, these courses are fully recognized by the Instituto Cervantes!
• 📐Initial Training: 3–14 August 2026.
• 🧠 Specialised Training: 17–28 August.
• 🌍 Cultural Proposals for ELE: 10–12 August.
• 🎒 What’s included: Free tuition (saves you €385), materials, visits, and an official certificate from Unizar & Instituto Cervantes.
• 👥 Places: 3 free spots available.

🏡 All classes take place at the Jaca University Residence. While the free tuition does not cover meals and accommodation, you can book them directly at the residence for a very competitive and student-friendly price! 🍽️🛏️.

🏃‍♀️🌍 Sport, wellbeing, innovation, and international friendships: the first UNITA SUISM Games and University Life in Turin!

From 26 to 29 May, 21 students from across the UNITA Alliance joined over 250 participants for an inspiring experience combining sport, cultural exchange, and collaboration. Through athletics, basketball, beach volleyball, team challenges, and student-led workshops, participants explored new ideas on inclusion, healthy lifestyles, peer support, and student wellbeing.

A special highlight was the Matching Event, where international teams co-created proposals to improve university life, presenting their ideas directly to university representatives.

More than a sporting event, the UNITA SUISM Games became a space for connection, creativity, and European cooperation. 💙💛

📚 The UNITA Virtual Mobility call offers the opportunity to take online courses at a partner university within the UNITA alliance, without leaving your institution. You can earn ECTS credits while enhancing your academic journey!

👩‍🎓 Do you want to improve your language skills, dive into specific subjects such as our European citizenship course, broaden your curriculum, or prepare for a future stay abroad? With UNITA Virtual Mobility you will be able to practise Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, Romanian, and even intercomprehension!

🌍Going beyond Europe, some of the GEMINAE partner universities are also participating in the courses.
