A celebration of 10 years of the MSc in International Food & Beverage Management and of the people who make it truly exceptional. 🎉

Last Saturday, we welcomed back to Turin students, alumni, faculty, and partners for a special milestone: the 10th anniversary of the Master's in IFBM. More than a celebration, it was a moment to reconnect, reflect, and look ahead — made even more meaningful by the emotion of seeing alumni return to campus and reconnect across cohorts in a unique and vibrant networking environment.

The day, guided by Francesco Venuti and Regina Brix, Academic Directors of the programme and moderators of the conference, opened with institutional addresses by Alberta Di Giuli, MICHELA FAVARO, Francesco Rattalino, and a video message from Philippe Zarlowski, setting the tone for a day dedicated to both celebration and future perspectives. It then featured a thought-provoking and insightful roundtable, “Food & Beverage in 2036: Shaping the Next 10 Years of Taste”. A sincere thank you to our distinguished speakers — Alessandra Bianco (Lavazza Group), Carlo Alberto Danna (Morsy), Simona Fiorentini), Antonio Patella (Private Chef), and Massimo Pozzetti (Pastiglie Leone) — for contributing to the discussion.

The celebration continued with a networking lunch, followed by an exclusive team-building workshop for alumni, further strengthening the bonds within this global community. The day concluded with a gala dinner at Esperia — a fitting end to a truly memorable occasion. ✨

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Francesco Venuti and Regina Brix for guiding the IFBM with vision and dedication over the years, continuously evolving the programme and adapting it to the changing needs of the sector.

A special thank you also to Gloria Bernardi and Gwendoline Yano, Programme Managers in Turin and Paris, whose commitment is instrumental to the programme’s ongoing success.

ESCP Business School proudly hosted the EMBAC Europe, Middle East & Africa Regional Meeting 2026 at our Turin Campus, marking a significant milestone for our institution.

Over two days, ESCP in Turin became a hub for forward-thinking dialogue, welcoming 60 directors and senior professionals from 38 leading business schools and universities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Together, they explored the challenges, opportunities, and future of Executive Education for today’s leaders.

From an engaging HR roundtable to interactive workshops and breakout sessions, discussions focused on aligning academic excellence with real-world relevance — while fostering innovation, leadership development, and global impact. Particular attention was given to the role of AI in shaping programme design, assessment, and digital delivery, alongside the importance of preserving rigour in an increasingly hybrid world.

Beyond the sessions, the event embodied the spirit of the EMBAC community: collaborative, international, and deeply committed to advancing Executive Education.

As Francesco Venuti, Dean of ESCP's EMBA, explains: “The EMBAC Regional Meeting is more than a gathering. It is a catalyst for ideas, collaboration, and innovation. It offers a valuable platform to share best practices, strengthen networks, and reflect on the evolving landscape of executive education. Hosting this event at ESCP Business School for the first time is an honour we are proud to celebrate.”

A special acknowledgement to Alberta Di Giuli and Michael Desiderio for opening the meeting; Francesco Venuti, whose leadership made it possible to bring this event to ESCP; and Veronica Polichetti for her dedication in organising it.

Thank you to all speakers and participants who made this edition so impactful. We look forward to continuing these conversations and shaping the future of Executive Education together.

Creating meaningful connections between students and companies is essential to transforming learning into a truly impactful experience. 🤝

We organised a truly enriching day of company visits for our students from the MiM in Food & Beverage and the MSc in International Food & Beverage Management at ESCP Business School, developed in collaboration with the UNISG - Università degli Studi di Scienze Gastronomiche.

We began the morning at Ferrero Italia’s headquarters in Alba. What emerged clearly is how long-term vision, continuous innovation, and a rigorous data-driven approach have positioned Ferrero as a global leader. The reflections on the concept of "quality" were the key of the session, which also culminated in a tasting session and an educational session on sensory analysis.

The day then continued with parallel visits across our three majors, offering complementary perspectives on the Food & Beverage ecosystem.

For the Entrepreneurship and Gastronomy Management major, the visit to Birra Baladin Farm Brewery offered a compelling example of entrepreneurial vision rooted in storytelling. From the Open Garden in Alba to the historic site in Piozzo, students explored how Baladin has redefined craft beer in Italy, embracing a philosophy of “slow growth,” a strong brand identity, and innovation within a coherent, controlled framework.

Marketing and Sales students visited Riso Margherita, and gained insight into a vertically integrated model that combines rice cultivation and production, highlighting how control over the entire value chain can be a key competitive advantage.

Restaurant and Gastronomy Management students experienced the unique setting of the Real Castello di Verduno and discovered a remarkable blend of tradition and refinement, where local ingredients, estate-grown produce, and heritage recipes are elevated through contemporary techniques.

These experiences would not have been possible without the collaboration with the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo, and the support of Raimondo Cusmano in coordinating the entire programme of the day.

A special thank you to Francesco Venuti, Regina Brix and Gloria Bernardi for organising and accompanying the students throughout these meaningful company experiences.

The Turin Scene 📍 Startup Ecosystem Gathering: Over 300 participants, 28 speakers, and one morning of high-impact conversations

Last Saturday, ESCP Business School hosted the second edition of the Startup Ecosystem Gathering in Turin, confirming its role as a key meeting point for innovation. The event, organised by Blue Factory ESCP, is part of , the free training programme designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming ideas into viable business ventures, delivered with the support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo as ecosystem developer and with the contribution of the Camera di commercio di Torino.

The morning unfolded at a dynamic pace, bringing together speakers from across the ecosystem — including venture capital firms, business angels, incubators, and venture builders — who shared insights, experiences, and practical perspectives on building and scaling startups.

Beyond the panels, the event truly came to life through its strong networking dimension. Participants had the opportunity to connect directly with experts and peers, with one-to-one meetings continuing over lunch, fostering meaningful exchanges and potential future collaborations. 👏

A special thank you to Simone Marino and Simone Martinelli for driving this initiative, and to all contributors who made this edition such a success, empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs.
