You are invited to the XI Symposium of the Spinal Cord Injury Research Group titled “Brain, body and action”, which will take place on May 15th 2026, --> 2:30 PM (CET) --> in “Aula Betti” – Chiostro S. Maria della Vittoria – Lungadige Porta Vittoria, 41 – Verona, and online via Zoom.
The meeting will be held in Italian, but the slides will be in English. Anyone who is interested is welcome!

The lab meeting will follow the "Project Presentation" format. Riccardo Danese will present: "Effetti del carico cognitivo nel recupero motorio dopo lesione midollare: il ruolo delle funzioni esecutive."

É uscito in Open access l’articolo:
“Patterns of cognitive and motor decline in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and ageing in healthy populations” by Springer Nature
Un nuovo lavoro clinico e di ricerca che descrive il legame profondo tra funzioni cognitive e motorie nei processi di invecchiamento fisiologico e patologico.
I risultati mostrano che alterazioni motorie e del tono muscolare compaiono molto precocemente nell’Alzheimer disease. Nella popolazione neurologicamente sana, il passaggio di invecchiamento cognitivo è per molte funzioni intorno ai 75 anni. Uno sguardo multidisciplinare integrato può aprire nuove strade di diagnosi e cura nell’invecchiamento.
