Ieri la Rettrice dell’Università della Tuscia ha accolto una delegazione algerina impegnata nel progetto del Centro “Enrico Mattei” di Sidi Bel Abbes, il polo di eccellenza italo-algerino creato nel quadro del Piano Mattei e dedicato a formazione, ricerca e innovazione nel settore agricolo. Nel corso degli incontri sono state approfondite le modalità di realizzazione delle prime azioni operative in campo formativo del Centro finanziate dalla cooperazione italiana.

L’incontro ha rappresentato un ulteriore passo avanti nel rafforzamento della cooperazione scientifica e tecnologica tra Italia e Algeria, confermando il ruolo strategico dell’Ateneo come partner accademico di riferimento per lo sviluppo sostenibile delle filiere agroalimentari nel Mediterraneo.

University of Tuscia & Italian Red Cross: Strengthening Ties with the Local Community

At the invitation of the Italian Red Cross – Viterbo Committee, the Rector of the University of Tuscia paid an official visit to the CRI headquarters in Viterbo. The meeting provided an important opportunity for institutional dialogue on issues of key relevance to both the academic community and the city.

Discussions focused on the activities carried out by the Italian Red Cross in the local area and on future joint initiatives aimed at supporting UNITUS students - both Italian and international - as well as the wider Viterbo community.

“The collaboration between the University and the Italian Red Cross represents real added value for the academic community and for the city, as it allows us to connect skills, services and professional expertise for the benefit of people,” stated the Rector Tiziana Laureti.

Through initiatives like this, UNITUS reaffirms its commitment to inclusion, well-being and strong partnerships with local institutions.

On December 5th, 2025, we hosted our Welcome Day, where Rector Tiziana Laureti, Delegate for International Relations Stefano Speranza, and Representative for Equal Opportunities and Intercultural Relations Juri Taborri, together with all the Presidents and Representatives of the International Study Programmes, welcomed our International and Erasmus Students to the new academic year.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with new connections, inspiring conversations, and a first taste of campus life.

We thank everyone who joined us. We are truly happy to have you with us and excited for what lies ahead. 🌍✨

Today in Beijing, at the prestigious Zhongguancun Exhibition Center, the 14th Edition of the Italy–China Week of Science, Technology and Innovation officially opened, organized by Città della Scienza. 🇮🇹🤝🇨🇳

Our Rector Tiziana Laureti took part in the opening ceremony of the Science Festival, marking the beginning of a week of collaboration and dialogue between universities, research centers, and enterprises from both countries.

In the afternoon, she joined the Forum of Rectors of Italian and Chinese Universities — a key opportunity for academic leaders to exchange views on research, education, and innovation.

During the event, the Rector also met the Italian Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, who attended the forum to promote academic and scientific cooperation between Italy and China.

A day full of meaningful encounters and opportunities to strengthen our University’s international presence and contribution to global research and innovation. 🌍✨
