العلوم التطبيقية تمثّل العالم العربي في ورشة عمل دولية تنظمها Elsevier حول تحليلات البحث العلمي...
شاركت جامعة العلوم التطبيقية الخاصة، ممثلةً بالأستاذة الدكتورة منى بركات، عميد البحث العلمي والدراسات العليا، متحدثةً رئيسية في ورشة العمل الدولية التي نظمتها شركة Elsevier العالمية عبر الإنترنت بعنوان "From Data to Decisions: A SciVal Workshop for Research Leaders and Users"، لتكون الجامعة المؤسسة الوحيدة من العالم العربي التي شاركت في تقديم عرض في هذه الورشة.
وقد جمعت الورشة نخبة من قيادات البحث العلمي ومسؤولي مكاتب البحث والمكتبات والقيادات الأكاديمية والمعنيين بالتصنيفات العالمية وخبراء التقييم من مختلف دول العالم، وتناولت دور ذكاء البيانات البحثية في دعم صناعة القرار المؤسسي، حيث تضمنت عرضاً لأحدث تطورات منصة SciVal وخططها المستقبلية، إلى جانب تجارب مؤسسية مختارة من جامعات حول العالم.
وقدّمت الأستاذة الدكتورة منى بركات خلال الورشة محاضرة بعنوان "توظيف تحليلات البيانات في بناء استراتيجية التصنيف المؤسسي"، استعرضت فيها تجربة جامعة العلوم التطبيقية الخاصة في توظيف أدوات تحليل البحث العلمي، ومنها منصتا SciVal وLeapSpace، في قياس الأداء البحثي ومقارنته بالمؤسسات النظيرة، وتحديد مواطن القوة وفرص التعاون، ودعم اتخاذ القرارات الاستراتيجية الهادفة إلى تعزيز مكانة الجامعة في التصنيفات العالمية.
وتأتي هذه المشاركة تأكيداً على المكانة التي تحظى بها جامعة العلوم التطبيقية الخاصة على الصعيد الدولي، وانسجاماً مع رؤيتها في تبنّي النهج القائم على البيانات في التخطيط الاستراتيجي، وتعزيز حضورها البحثي والأكاديمي إقليمياً وعالمياً.
Applied Science Private University (ASU), represented by Professor Mona Barakat, Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, participated as a keynote speaker in the international online workshop organized by global information analytics company Elsevier, titled “From Data to Decisions: A SciVal Workshop for Research Leaders and Users.” ASU was the only institution from the Arab world to deliver a presentation at the workshop.
The workshop brought together a distinguished group of research leaders, research office and library professionals, academic leaders, specialists in global rankings, and evaluation experts from around the world. It explored the role of research intelligence and data analytics in supporting institutional decision-making. The workshop also featured an overview of the latest developments and future plans for the SciVal platform, alongside selected institutional experiences from universities worldwide.
During the workshop, Professor Mona Barakat delivered a presentation titled “Leveraging Data Analytics to Develop an Institutional Ranking Strategy,” in which she highlighted ASU’s experience in utilizing research analytics tools, including SciVal and LeapSpace, to measure research performance, benchmark it against peer institutions, identify areas of strength and opportunities for collaboration, and support strategic decision-making aimed at enhancing the University’s position in global rankings.
This participation underscores the international standing of Applied Science Private University and reflects its commitment to adopting a data-driven approach to strategic planning, while further strengthening its research and academic presence at both regional and global levels.
