Happy Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

2024年11月25日（月）、大分県別府市にある鶴見岳を登山していた際の出来事です⛰️

バスの遅延トラブルで不安な状況の中、登山後の女性に優しく声をかけ、励ましてくれたAPUの国際学生がいました。

その女性は、
「きちんとお礼を伝えられなかった…」と、今も気にかけています。

どうしても感謝の気持ちを伝えたい——
その想いから、今回この学生を探しています🙏

顔や名前は分からず、手がかりはわずかです。もう卒業しているか、帰国しているかもしれません。

・その日、鶴見岳に登った方

This is about an incident that happened on November 25, 2024 (Mon), at Mt. Tsurumi ⛰️
Due to a bus delay, a woman found herself in a stressful situation after hiking. At that moment, an “international student from APU” kindly spoke to her and offered words of encouragement.

She has been thinking ever since,
“I never got the chance to properly say thank you…”
She truly wishes to express her gratitude, and that is why we are trying to find this student 🙏
Unfortunately, we do not know their name or appearance, and only have limited information.

APU Campus is transforming through art. Introducing the co-created concept with HERALBONY. APUキャンパスが、アートで変わります。ヘラルボニーとの共創コンセプトを公開

This spring, APU launched the Campus Art Gallery Initiative, a project to bring art across the entire campus. Guided by the themes “Intertwine, Have Fun, Connect,” the project aims to make APU a more vibrant and welcoming place where people can connect through art.

Since April, APU has been showcasing co-created concept signage and art panels developed in collaboration with HERALBONY, a creative company aiming to transform perceptions of disability and foster new culture rooted in welfare. These works are now on display throughout the campus.
The key concept of the project is: “WE’RE NOT THE SAME, AND THAT’S WHAT BRINGS US TOGETHER.”
At APU, we aspire to be a place where all differences are embraced and transformed into strength. Through the art of Fumie Shimaoka, we invite everyone to reflect on and engage with this vision.

We invite you to experience the power of art on the APU campus or through the project webpage. The campus is open to everyone—please feel free to stop by and enjoy your visit!

4月からは、障害のイメージ変容と福祉を起点に新たな文化の創出を目指すクリエイティブカンパニー「ヘラルボニー」とともに制作した共創コンセプト看板や、アートパネルを、キャンパス内で公開しています。
コンセプトのキーワードは、「ちがいという、共通点。」
APUは、あらゆる「ちがい」をそのまま力へと変える場所でありたい。 そんな想いを、Fumie Shimaokaさんのアートにのせて皆さんに呼びかけています。

Today, we welcomed 1,036 students from 45 countries/regions at the April 2026 Entrance Ceremony. The ceremony was held on campus with multicultural events for new students, their guardians, and everyone else to enjoy!
We hope that you will enjoy your new life at APU!!
本日の入学式で、45ヵ国・地域から集まる1,036名が新たにAPUの仲間に加わりました。キャンパスでは入学式と併せて、新入生歓迎イベントを開催。APUらしい多様なイベントや、新入生と保護者の皆さんを迎えました。
