The SGA truly appreciates all your presence during the Tanabata Festival💫 . We hope everyone had an enjoyable evening and made many new friends. Also, we felt extremely grateful to see many attendants help us tidy up Skyhall at the end of the event🥺 , thank you so much for the support💜 ! It is our first offline program after three years, and we sincerely apologize for the imperfections during the event's operation🙇‍♀️ 🙇‍♂️. Tanabata Festival, also known to be the Star Festival, is a Japanese occasion. Usually celebrated on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, which is July 7th in the modern calendar. Last year, the SGA, together with the GINOS Studio, successfully spearheaded the first-ever Tanabata Festival online, which has garnered attention from the students of the Department of Global Innovation Studies. There were performances from both the students and the professors.

However, this year we are hosting in FULLY OFFLINE!✨ So if you want to chill and unwind after a heavy and stressful quarter, JOIN US ON THE TANABATA FESTIVAL this coming July 08, 2022 (Friday) from 6:15 PM – 9:00 PM and get to socialize with the diverse international community!

七夕まつり、又は星祭りは日本の伝統行事であり、太陰暦で7番目の月の7日、つまり今日の7月7日に祝われます。昨年、私たちSGAはジノススタジオを連携して初の試みとなったオンラインでの七夕まつりを成功させました。その中には学生だけではなく教授も参加したパフォーマンスがあり、GINOS科全体から注目を集めました!

The 2-day SFC was completed with the participation of over 150 participants🎉. The SGA sends our deepest thanks to all incoming students, GINOS Faculty professors, volunteers, and many senior students for your presence.🙇‍♀️🙇‍♂️

The SFC successfully provided newcomers with:
🌸GINOS Town Hall: introduction to GINOS’ professors and their course contents.
🌸Virtual Café: introduction to available student groups and events.
🌸Connection to seniors through engaging activities, resulting in 16 excellent team presentations.👏 👏
🌸Game sessions and Workshops on Climate Literacy and SDGs
🌸Spaces for Travel, Play, and Dialogue!

We truly appreciate all the efforts and hard work of all GINOS professors and volunteers. SFC would have never succeeded without your support!💓
