What value does your company create beyond profit?
For many business professionals, company value is often measured in numbers: revenue, growth, market share, and shareholder returns.
But some of the most important values a company creates are harder to see.
Trust with customers. Meaningful work for employees. Responsibility toward communities. A philosophy that guides decisions when there is no easy answer.
In today’s business world, leaders are expected to think beyond economic value and ask a deeper question: What role should corporations play in society?
At GLOBIS, courses such as **Corporate Philosophy and Social Values** invite students to explore this question through real business cases. Students discuss how companies create both visible economic value and invisible social value while considering the perspectives of shareholders, customers, employees, and the wider community.
The course also encourages students to reflect on a company’s raison d’être, and the meaning of their own role within it.
What kind of value do you think companies should be responsible for creating beyond profit? Share your thoughts in the comments.
