【第9期生 開講式を開催しました】
2026年8月22日、大学院大学至善館は、第9期生（Class of 2028）を迎える開講式を日本橋キャンパスにて開催しました。今年も、企業、行政、NPO、起業家と、経歴も国籍も異なる仲間が、同じ至善館に集いました。
開講式のハイライトは、新入生一人ひとりによる30秒の「心に残る自己紹介」。「Beginner, Again」「United in Differences」「Bridge Builder」——それぞれが選んだ言葉に、これまでの歩みとこれからの決意がにじみ、会場は大きな拍手に包まれました。
後半では、吉川克彦学術院長が至善館の教育プログラムの設計思想を、鵜尾雅隆副学長が日本橋の地域コミュニティ、国際ネットワークなど、至善館を取り巻くエコシステムを紹介。平野正雄副学長、枝廣淳子副学長からは、新入生へのエールが贈られました。
9期生のみなさん、ようこそ至善館へ。ここからの20ヶ月、そしてその先の生涯にわたる学びのコミュニティで、ともに歩んでいきましょう。

[Welcome, Class of 2028]
Today, 22 August 2026, Shizenkan University's Graduate School of Leadership and Innovation held its inauguration ceremony for the 9th cohort at our Nihonbashi campus.
82 students from 13 countries and regions — Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Ukraine, Australia, India, Taiwan, Argentina, Syria, Afghanistan, Uganda, DR Congo and the UK — begin a 20-month journey together.
Then came the moment everyone remembers: each incoming student had 30 seconds for an "impressive self-introduction." "Beginner, Again." "United in Differences." "Appetite for the unmapped horizon." No slides, no job titles — just people telling each other who they really are.
Dean Katsuhiko Yoshikawa spoke on the philosophy behind our program design, and Vice President Masataka Uo introduced the Shizenkan ecosystem — our roots in the Nihonbashi community and the Pan-Asian Business School Network.
To the Class of 2028: Welcome. This is the beginning of a lifelong learning community.

この度、至善館では2026年度 #科目等履修生 の募集を開始しました。今回募集するのは、以下の4コースです。

科目等履修生制度は、至善館の専門職修士課程の開講科目を、修士課程に在籍されていない方にも科目単位で履修いただける制度です。修了要件を満たした方には正式に単位（各2単位）を授与します。

各コースとも、至善館キャンパス（東京・ #日本橋）での対面を中心に、一部オンライン（Zoom）を併用して平日夜間に開講します。出願にあたっては、大学卒業等の資格と、原則3年以上の実務経験が必要です。科目等履修を経て単位取得した後5年以内に至善館の修士課程へ入学された場合、4単位を上限として既修得単位として認定され、お支払い済みの授業料が修士課程の授業料から差し引かれます。

Shizenkan University has opened applications for its 2026 non-degree program. Four courses are available:

The non-degree program allows individuals who are not enrolled in Shizenkan's MBA program to take selected master's-level courses on a course-by-course basis. Those who fulfill the completion requirements are formally awarded academic credit (2 credits per course).

All courses are held on weekday evenings, primarily in person at the Shizenkan campus in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, with some sessions conducted online via Zoom. Applicants are required to hold a university degree or equivalent qualification, and in principle to have a minimum of three years of work experience. If you enroll in a Shizenkan master's program within five years of earning credits through the non-degree program, up to four credits may be recognized as previously earned, and the tuition you have already paid will be deducted from the master's program tuition.

本日、至善館キャンパスにて、SSIR-J主催「ソーシャル・イノベーション・モーニング2026」を開催しました。

ソーシャルセクター、財団、企業から160名の方々にお集まりいただき、SSIRの伝説的な記事に、参加者全員で「新たな1ページ」を書き加えることをテーマに、様々なセッションが行われました。

「AI時代に、愛があふれる社会はどう育まれるのか」「資金提供に対等な関係はありうるか」「結局、スケールは必要なのか」など、多様な問いをめぐって熱い議論が交わされました。

会場は終始熱気に包まれ、その熱は懇親会にも引き継がれ、対話とネットワークを広げる一日となりました。ご参加いただいた皆さま、ありがとうございました！

Today, Social Innovation Morning 2026, hosted by SSIR-J, took place at the Shizenkan campus.

160 participants from the social sector, foundations, and companies came together around a bold shared mission: to write a new chapter for one of SSIR's most iconic articles.

Across the day's sessions, we explored provocative questions — from how AI-era societies can be built on love and care, to whether truly equitable funding relationships are possible, to whether scale really matters at all.

The energy never let up, carrying straight through to a buzzing networking reception, in a day devoted to deepening dialogue and building new connections for a better society. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

【開催レポート】Japan Trip 2026を開催しました
6月30日から7月4日までの5日間、至善館が主導する「Pan-Asian Business School Network」の提携校からアジア各国の学生を東京に迎え、日本のビジネス・文化・リーダーシップを探究する「Japan Trip 2026」を実施しました。

近藤誠一特別招聘教授による「日本のソフトパワー」講義に始まり、日本経済と社会課題の講義、トヨタ自動車・コクヨ・にんべんへの企業訪問、鎌倉での茶道・坐禅体験、そして匠文化と日本型リーダーシップをめぐる議論まで――。至善館の学生たちも各所で合流し、国境を越えた学び合いと友情が生まれた5日間となりました。

参加者からは「ビジネスリーダーや政治家と直接対話できたことが貴重だった」との声も。ご協力いただいたすべての皆様に感謝申し上げます。

[Event Report] Japan Trip 2026
From June 30 to July 4, Shizenkan University welcomed students from across Asia—including India, Singapore, and Malaysia—to Tokyo for Japan Trip 2026, a five-day program for partner schools of the Pan-Asian Business School Network, an alliance of business schools led by Shizenkan.

Participants explored Japanese business, culture, and leadership from every angle: a lecture on Japan's soft power by Specially Appointed Prof. Seiichi Kondo; sessions on the Japanese economy and social issues; company visits to Toyota, KOKUYO, and the 300-year-old Nihonbashi company Ninben; a tea ceremony, Zen meditation, and temple visits in Kamakura; and closing lectures on takumi craftsmanship and Japanese leadership.

Shizenkan students joined throughout the week, and friendships were formed across borders and cultures. Thank you to all the companies, faculty, and participants who made this program possible.

【開催レポート】The Future of Capitalism Forum：ステークホルダー理論の潮流と挑戦
至善館にて、ステークホルダー理論の提唱者であるエドワード・フリーマン教授（バージニア大学）を迎え、「資本主義の未来フォーラム」が開催されました。

株主至上主義が席巻している現代において、なぜいま改めて「ステークホルダー経営」が求められるのか。その本質と、日本企業が直面する制度的な課題について、理論と実践の両面から深い議論が交わされました。

■ ハイライト
野田智義（至善館学長・理事長）：「三方よし」などの伝統的価値観と、株主志向に変貌した現代のガバナンス制度との間で日本の経営者は乖離に苦しんでいる。これからの新しいステークホルダー経営を再定義する必要がある。

エドワード・フリーマン教授：ビジネスとは、関わるすべての人々と持続可能な関係を育むプロセス。企業にとっての利益は、人体をめぐる赤血球のようなもの。生命維持に不可欠だが、それが生きる目的ではないように、利益もまた企業の究極の目的ではない。真の目的は、ステークホルダーと共に創り出す価値そのものにある。

企業は社会とどのように対話し、クリエイティブな想像力をもって価値を創造していくべきなのか。リーダーの役割が問われています。

[Event Report] The Future of Capitalism Forum: The Evolution and Challenges of Stakeholder Theory

Shizenkan University hosted "The Future of Capitalism Forum," welcoming Professor R. Edward Freeman of the University of Virginia, the founding father of stakeholder theory.

In an era dominated by shareholder primacy, why is "stakeholder management" being called for once again—and what does it truly mean? The forum brought together theory and practice for a deep discussion of its essence and the institutional challenges facing Japanese companies.

■ Highlights
Tomo Noda (President & Chairman, Shizenkan University): Japanese executives are struggling with the divergence between traditional values such as sanpo-yoshi ("good for all three sides") and today's governance institutions, which have shifted toward shareholder orientation. We need to redefine a new form of stakeholder management for the era ahead.

Professor R. Edward Freeman: Business is a process of nurturing sustainable relationships with everyone it touches. Profits are to a company what red blood cells are to the human body—essential for survival, but not the purpose of living. Likewise, profit is not the ultimate purpose of a company. Its true purpose lies in the value it creates together with its stakeholders.

How should companies engage in dialogue with society and create value through creative imagination? The role of leaders is being put to the test.

【7/26(日)開催】ソーシャル・イノベーション・モーニング2026 @至善館キャンパス

SSIRの伝説の記事に、参加者全員で「新たな1ページ」を追加する――そんな朝が、この夏も日本橋にやってきます。

日曜の朝、大学院大学至善館に集うのは、NPO・企業・財団・アカデミアなど多様なセクターから約100名。日本で話題になっているSSIRの記事6本をテーマに、対話を通じて「知」の境界線を広げていきます。

昨年は100名を超える皆さまと充実した時間を過ごしました。第2回となる今回は、各分野の探究を導くナビゲーター、対話の場をつくるファシリテーターを迎え、さらにパワーアップしてお届けします。

【至善館2021年卒・2期生の皆さんをお迎えして、アルムナイリユニオンを開催しました】

至善館では、卒業から5年ごとに卒業生をキャンパスに招き、5年間のリーダーシップの旅を振り返り、さらなる一歩を踏み出すエネルギーを再チャージしていただく機会を設けています。

当日はまず、5年前に自分自身へ宛てて書いた「フィードフォワード・ペーパー」を開封するところからスタート。当時思い描いていた未来と、この5年間の挑戦・成長・葛藤を振り返り、グループで語り合いました。

次に5年前、2期生の卒業式はコロナ禍のためオフラインで開催することができませんでした。今回のリユニオンでは、あのとき袖を通せなかったアカデミックガウンに、皆さんに改めて袖を通していただきました。そして、卒業式さながらのキャップトスも実現。

その後、参加者それぞれが、これからの未来に向けたコミットメントを発表。夜にはアルムナイ幹事主催のAfter Partyも開かれ、同期の絆を新たにする一日となりました。

[Shizenkan Welcomes Back the Class of 2021 for Their Alumni Reunion]

Every five years, Shizenkan invites graduates back to campus to reflect on their five-year leadership journey and recharge the energy to take their next step forward.

The day began with a special moment: opening the "Feedforward Paper" each alum had written to their future self five years earlier. Participants reflected on the future they had envisioned back then, along with the challenges, growth, and struggles of the past five years, sharing their stories in small groups.

Next, since the Class of 2021's graduation ceremony could not be held in person five years ago due to the pandemic, this reunion gave them the chance to finally put on the academic gowns they never got to wear — complete with a cap toss just like a real graduation ceremony.

After that, each participant declared their own commitment for the future. In the evening, an After Party hosted by the alumni secretariat followed, renewing the bonds among classmates.

We continue to cheer on our graduates as they make their mark in the world!

Value Balancing Alliance CEOのクリスチャン・ヘラー氏をお招きし、企業活動が生み出す社会的価値を可視化する「インパクト評価」の最前線について議論しました。

また、キリンホールディングス株式会社、中外製薬株式会社、株式会社日立製作所でインパクト評価の推進を担う実務家の皆さまを迎え、財務価値と非財務価値を統合した、これからの企業経営のあり方について活発な意見交換が行われました。

We are pleased to share the event report from the Future of Capitalism Forum, co-hosted by Shizenkan University and IESE Business School.

The forum featured Christian Heller, CEO of the Value Balancing Alliance, who shared the latest developments in impact valuation—an emerging approach to measuring the social value created by business activities.

The discussion also brought together leaders driving impact valuation initiatives at Kirin Holdings Company, Limited, Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Hitachi, Ltd. Together, they explored how companies can integrate financial and non-financial value to shape the future of corporate management.
