Salam EcoCampus!

Last week, Professor Dr. Awangku Hassanal Bahar Pengiran Bagul went for a courtesy visit to the new President of NITFC, President Okamoto, in an effort to strengthen global ties between Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and National Institute of Technology, Fukushima College (NITFC).

UMS partnership with NITFC continues to grow, focusing on two key pillars:

1. Global Talent Development - Following the success of our first English training program in Summer 2025, where we received 10 NITFC students to UMS, we are looking forward to expanding these exchange opportunities.

2. Sustainability & Research: Since 2017, over 100 NITFC students and faculty members have participated in the Regional Conference on Campus Sustainability (RCCS).

It was also a pleasure to discuss the renewal of the Letter of Intent (LoI) with President Okamoto, Professor Umezawa (Director of the Centre for International Relations and SDGs Promotion), and Professor Honda (Vice-President of NITFC).
