The 1st TECS Laboratory Conference was recently held successfully as a virtual event.
The aims of this conference were to help improve students' presentation skills whilst sharing their research progress with professors and laboratory members and to familiarize ourselves with the procedures and challenges involved in organizing a conference. The conference began with the opening speech by Prof. Miyazaki, Prof. Kyaw Thu, and Dr. Miksik. Before the participant presentations started, three Ph.D. students shared their unique experiences in publishing their research in international journals.
Moreover, Dr. Jie Lin from the University of Oxford, shared outstanding and valuable experiences from his journey as a researcher and discussed the M-Cycle and battery technologies, which is one of the core research topics at TECS Laboratory.
The conference allowed many of the students who are working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to not only share their research but also to finally meet many of the lab members and talk to them.
We would like to thank our professors for their continued guidance, Dr. Jie Lin for participating early in the morning from the UK, all the participants for their presentations and the organizing committee for a job well done.
We hope to see you during our next conference which we will keep you posted on.
