　新規にオンライン経済実験を実施します。この実験は、神戸大学教員の糟谷祐介、公立はこだて未来大学教員の川越敏司による学術研究の一環として実施されます。（科研費基盤B19H01469「マッチング市場設計における情報収集。開示と選好内生化に関する研究」）。つきましては、実験に協力してくださる方を募集します。経済学の中でも「経済工学」、「マーケットデザイン」と呼ばれる最新分野に関する実験ですが、参加にあたり特に予備知識は必要ありません。実験参加者には、アマゾンギフト券（メール送付型）で謝金をお支払いします。

　下記のとおりセミナーを開催いたします。
韓国の農政をはじめとする政治について、精力的に研究をされている明治大学の
縄倉 晶雄 先生をお招きし、衣笠 智子 教授・衛藤 彬史 研究員（兵庫県立人と自然の博物館）・
安田 公治 講師（青森公立大学・神戸大学経済学研究科研究員）と韓国と養父市の農業について
比較検討しながらディスカッションします。養父市は国家戦略特区で日本の新たな時代を作るべく、
規制緩和を考案しています。その中で、海外の状況を把握し、日本に取り入れられる点はあるか
考えることは、一つの重要な点だと思われます。同じ東アジアで日本と土地条件が似ているところ
もある韓国は、参考になる点が多くある可能性があります。経済学・政治学・農村計画学・農村工学

　下記のとおりセミナーを開催いたします。
今回のレポートでは、新型コロナウィルス感染症が国内の信用リスクに
及ぼす影響を点検する際、資金繰りに加えて、債務返済の重要性が徐々に
高まってくることを意識しつつ、感染症拡大の影響が企業収益に及ぼす影響に
ついて、企業間のばらつきを精緻化したうえで、分析を行っている。また、
有価証券投資および外貨資金調達にかかるリスクを点検する際、国際金融市場
での調整が、わが国金融機関の直面する有価証券投資・調達環境に与える波及効果
について、個々の金融機関とノンバンク部門の有価証券ポートフォリオの重複度や

Akio Yamazaki is an assistant professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies. His work focuses on the evaluation of the effectiveness and economic impact of climate change policies. Specifically, his research analyzes how carbon taxes affect energy use, employment, and productivity. His purpose is to inform policymakers and the public about the economic benefits and costs of climate policies, thus aiding with the design and implementation of cost-effective and evidence-based policy.

Prof Tangvatcharapong is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of
Economic Research at Hitotsubashi University. She obtained her PhD at
Texas A&M University in 2021, and is a vibrant researcher in the field
of applied economics such as labor, health, and urban.
Topics:"The Impact of School Tracking and Peer Quality on Student Achievement: Regression Discontinuity Evidence from Thailand "
Abstract: A common educational practice around the world is to track students into classrooms based on ability. However, despite the popularity of tracking, relatively few papers directly identify the impact of being tracked into classrooms with higher- or lower- ability peers. This paper estimates the impact of being tracked into a classroom with higher ability peers by using data from public middle schools in Thailand, where students are tracked into classrooms based on a preliminary exam taken before 7th grade. Importantly, all teachers, curriculum, and textbooks are identical throughout classrooms. To distinguish the impact of peers from confounding factors due to selection, I apply a regression discontinuity design (RDD) that compares the academic outcomes of students just above and below the threshold. Results indicate that significant increases in peer quality do not improve student GPA. This suggests that any gains due to tracking, at least in Asian contexts similar to this, are likely due to factors other than peer quality, such as curriculum or teacher quality.

Abstract: In this paper we consider the factors affecting an entrepreneur’s choice between selling a new product invention to an incumbent firm, or using the invention to leapfrog the incumbent firm and become the new market leader. We extend the quality-ladder endogenous growth framework to allow for heterogeneous quality improvements, and determine which product innovations are sold to incumbent firms and which are used to leapfrog incumbent firms, along a balanced growth path. We also examine the effects of several types of policy: capital gains taxation on the sale of product designs, subsidies to market entry, and patent regulation.
