The Entrance Ceremony was held in the Furuya Kinendo earlier this month!
A total of 1009 students were newly enrolled into Yamanashi Gakuin University's International College of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Health and Nutrition, Institute of Sport Science, and Graduate School of Social Science.
The ceremony was held trilingually in Japanese, English, and Chinese. The President of Yamanashi Gakuin University, Takako Aoyama, addressed the new students in a welcome speech. She urged students to engage with opportunities for diverse experiences that await them in their university life, and to grow and mature from moments when things do not go as planned or when they feel uncertain. She encouraged students to see university life as a process for growth to shape a magnificent self.
A student representative from the Faculty of Law also gave a speech on behalf of the new students, speaking about their determination to strive towards their individual goals and to turn lessons and experience into solid foundations that will support them throughout their lives.
