Second event at Nihongo Center for the freshly started 2023 Autumn semester. Kyoto, as a lot of other places, is well know for its fall leaves spots. But this time, instead of heading to usual places crowded with tourists, we decided to get away from Kyoto city and went to Nagaokakyo on November 25th.

First things first, the places weren't crowded, there were almost no foreign tourists, and most of the people we met were Japanese. Seconly, we couldn't have a better timing to go there. Except for a little bit of rain early in the morning, the rest of the day was perfect and this is clearly a place we would recommend to experience the Japanese fall leaves near Kyoto.

Every semester, students in beginner classes are given the chance to practice what they learned so far with Japanese students. It's always a great chance to speak about different subject and to also be able to make some friends. We are always grateful to the Japanese students who accept to participate to this event that have been continued for several years now.

From August 1st to 3rd, about 30 students with teachers headed from Kyoto to the Mount Fuji. Departure on August 1st night by bus to arrive at the 5th station around 9.00 am. After preparing hiking stuff and eating, they started their ascenssion around 10.30 am. Several hours later, they finally arrived at the 8th station to eat and rest for a while. When midnight strikes, it is time to go again until the last station and to get a view from the top with the sunrise.

After going back to the bus, everyone is heading to a Onsen with a "all you can eat" buffet for some rest.

This event is really one of the most memorable you can have. Weather was good too and we are lucky to be able to go to the top everytime we plan it.

If you want to experience it as well, we are organizing this event every year. By starting studying next April, you will have the occasion to participate as well.

After 4 years, it was finally time to return to Biwako and enjoy our annual BBQ.
On July 29th, Nihongo Center staffs and and lot of students (55 people in total), enjoyed the first biwako BBQ since 2019. With a perfect weather (a little bit too hot) and energic students, it was the perfect day to start the summer holidays.

Students seem to have enjoyed the day eating, playing games and swimming in a warm water.

These summer holidays will be full of events. From tomorrow, around 30 students will depart for the Mount Fuji. Stay tuned to get screenshots on Friday.

Nihongo Center is currently accepting students for the April 2023 intake. For those would like to study for a long period with a student visa, be sure to contact us as soon as possible. The application period is open until late October.

The first event of the semester took place on May the 2nd. This time, we went hiking in the Fushimi area for the first time. First, we went to Fushimi Momoyama Castle and took pictures with everyone. After that, we walked to the observatory on the top of the mountain and had lunch there. And after that we went back to the station.

For new students, it's been two weeks since the new semester started. I think it was a great opportunity to talk with their friends and teachers outside of class. Also, I think it was very meaningful to be able to interact with various friends beyond the class. Golden week starts tomorrow. Please refresh a lot and study hard from next week!

The October 2023 intake application process is open until May 26th, 2023.

Nihongo Center is a very international Japanese language school where you can start studying from the very beginning. A lot of students come from all over the world and our teachers have a very long experience in teaching Japanese. The school is located in the center of Kyoto since 1979. Our hard efforts so far has granted us in October 2022 the label " Enrollment Management Excellent School" by the immigration bureau of Japan which has greatly lowered the application requirements to obtain a Certificate of Eligibilty.

・We basically don't have any age limit for enrollment.
・You don't need the usual 150 hours of Japanese learning certificate or JLPT (NAt-test) certificate before enrollment.
・No bank statement sent to the immigration office.
・1 year course available both from October or April semester (From 6 months in certain cases please contact for information)
・Job Hunting course for Bachelor's degree + N3 level holders.
・Japanese, English, Indonesian, Korean, French speaking staff

The new semester started on April 17th.
We are happy to have a lot of students from different countries and from a large panel of age and working experience.

This will definitely be a good chance for everyone, students and teachers, to learn more about each other cultures and experience while studying Japanese.

All of them arrived with different goals, and we hope that by studying with us, they will be able to either continue their education in Japan or find a work.

Speaking of which, Nihongo Center is reopening its "job hunting program" in October 2023. Those who have at least a bachelor's degree and with a N3 level of the JLPT are eligible to apply for it.

If you have any questions be sure to contact us as soon as possible. The application deadline is for May 26th and documents will be sent to the immigration office on May 29th.

With the new semester starting on April 17th, most of the new students already in Japan participated to the school orientation on Wednesday 12th in the morning. After explaining the rules, we invited those who wanted to join all together with former students in order to learn to know eachothers.

We hope everyone will enjoy their stay with us and study hard from next Monday.

Starting from October 2023. Nihongo Center is introducing his "job hunting" program. As Japan's population declines, it needs more foreign workers than ever before.
In addition, our school is located in Kyoto, and due to the nature of the area, companies in Kyoto have an urgent need to secure excellent human resources.
Furthermore, it is expected that more and more international students will start studying Japanese with the intention of finding a job in Japan.
Since we anticipate such needs of international students at our school, we have decided to start a new course "Course for getting a job in Japan" from October 2023.
This program will not only provide foreign students wishing to work in Japan with the appropriate language skills and information useful for finding employment, but will also provide support for job hunting and introduce internship programs.

On Saturday March 4th, 2023, about 20 students of Nihongo Center enjoyed the famous tea ceremony and the traditional Japanese dance. After some practice, they weared traditional kimono for the main event.
This is clearly one of the most traditional event the students can experience while being in Japan and Kyoto is a city full of history.
After the snow lantern making event of February, this is one of the prefered among students. Next month will be the Sakura seasons and the beginning of the new semester. We hope this year we can offer a lot of cultural events to all.
