沖縄や東北をはじめ国内外で、その地に根ざした工芸と歴史、生活と密接な関係にある政治の関係性を紐解き、主に染織技法を用いて、制作発表を続けている。雑巾や落下傘、船の帆などを制作し、「使う」ことで布の生と人々の生を自身の身体を用いてパフォーマティブにトレースし、工芸の本質を拡張することを制作の核とする。
最近の主な展示に「CONNEXIONS｜コネクションズ ―接続するアーティストたち」（鳥取県立美術館、2025）、「周辺・開発・状況 ―現代美術の事情と地勢―」（下瀬美術館・広島、2025）、「重力と虹霓／南波照間島について」（大阪中之島美術館、2023）、国際芸術祭「あいち2022」（豊島記念資料館・愛知、2022）、「いのちの裂け目―布が描き出す近代、青森から」（青森公立大学 国際芸術センター青森、2020）など。第13回 shiseido art eggではart egg大賞を受賞した。
Based in Okinawa, Tohoku and other regions in Japan, Endo uses weaving and dyeing to unpack the political relations rooted in the crafts, histories, and livelihoods within each place. At its core, her practice is about expanding the potential of crafts; she produces materials like rags, parachutes, and sails to performatively trace the vitality of textiles and people through her body.
Recent exhibitions include CONNEXIONS: Artists as Bridges (2025; Tottori Prefectural Museum of Art, Tottori), Ambient, Environment, Circumstances – The Topography of Contemporary Art (2025; Shimose Art Museum, Hiroshima), Gravity and Rainbow – About Minamihateruma Island (2023; Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka), Aichi Triennale 2022 (2022; Toyoshima Memorial Museum, Aichi) and The Beginning of Life/Art: Cloth Weaves Our Times, from Aomori (2020; Aomori Contemporary Art Centre, Aomori). Endo won the art egg prize at the 13th shiseido art egg (2019; Shiseido Gallery, Tokyo).
