KUAS Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Dean Yoshihiro Tokuga, has co-edited a landmark open-access research book published by the world-renowned publisher Springer Nature!

Titled Controversies Over Accounting for Goodwill, this publication tackles a century-old financial dilemma in global mergers and acquisitions, summarizing eight years of collaborative research, 88 study sessions, and nationwide surveys across key financial sectors to provide new insights into modern accounting practices.

🚨 KUAS x Molten Corporation Internship: The Final Showdown! 🤖

Will the robot even move? That was the high-stakes question hanging in the air after the practice day left our team with broken arms and unaligned wiring.

🌙 A Midnight Breakthrough: Refusing to give up, our four KUAS interns stayed late into the night, working under pressure to trace every wire and inspect every line of code. As exhaustion was setting in—BINGO! A hidden coding bug was uncovered. With the patch uploaded, the robot came back to life just hours before the main event!

🎆 "3... 2... 1... ROX ON!": The atmosphere was electric as the grand entrance ceremony wrapped up and Challenge 1 officially began. Team leader Nayeen gripped the controller, took a deep breath, and sent the signal. The KUAS robot didn't just move—it executed its task with precision, racking up massive points! The pit erupted in cheers and tears of pure relief! 🎉 Score!

🎯 The Final Stand: Next up was Challenge 2, a high-pressure trial to knock down target blocks. The team pushed their build to its absolute limit, taking down target after target. When the final scores came in, KUAS fell just short of the top spots needed for the grand prize round.

Though they didn't take home the trophy, our students walked away with something far greater: real-world engineering resilience, unforgettable memories, and a burning passion for hardware innovation.

💼 KUAS x Molten Corporation: Hands-On Engineering Internship! 🛠️

This year, KUAS Internship Program was proud to have four students join the Robotics Open eXchange (ROX)—an innovative robotics initiative hosted by Molten Corporation that pairs students with professional engineers to gain real-world hardware experience.

📦 From Blueprints to Practice Day: From the moment they teamed up, the KUAS team hit the ground running—designing, prototyping, building, and rebuilding their robot right on KUAS campus and at Molten Corporation headquarters. Before the main competition, the students shipped their robot to HQ for official practice day to test each of the three event challenges and make last-minute tweaks.

⚡ A Down-to-the-Wire Challenge: As for our KUAS team? It turned into a total race against the clock. During practice, controls glitched, wires unplugged, and mechanical arms broke under pressure. The pit area became an intense mix of high anxiety and emotion, with team leader Nayeen and a KUAS 4th-year student working tirelessly to keep everyone calm and focused through all the commotion.

Stepping into university life in a brand-new country is a huge leap, but our incoming first-years didn't have to navigate it alone!

KUAS recently hosted the official First-Year Welcome Party—a night packed with energy, new connections, and endless opportunities.
Attending first-years mingled with classmates from around the globe over free food, breaking the ice with interactive games designed to build lifelong friendships from Day 1.

Beyond making initial connections, new students met face-to-face with clubs and circles to explore extracurricular opportunities, while upperclassmen mentors provided invaluable insider guidance on navigating academics and living in Kyoto.
