新オンライン講座「Basic Japanese Civil Law 2（日本民法基礎２）」が Science Tokyo edX に登場
東京科学大学は、オンライン学習プラットフォーム edX 上で新しいオンライン講座「Basic Japanese Civil Law 2（日本民法基礎２）」を開講しました。
この講座はもともと東京工業大学によって開発されたもので、大学統合に伴い、今回、東京科学大学のもとで改訂・再開講されました。
前回好評を博した「Basic Japanese Civil Law（日本民法基礎）」に続く本講座では、現代日本における日常生活と密接に関わる法的課題を取り上げます。
主なトピックには、契約、知的財産、インターネット法、キャッシュレス取引、倒産、不法行為、AIの責任、高齢者保護などが含まれます。
各ユニットの後には理解度を確認できるクイズが用意されており、無料受講に加えて修了証付きの有料オプションも選択可能です。
本講座は、電子証拠法、倒産法、民事訴訟法、消費者法を専門とする金子博直准教授が担当します。
デジタル化、人工知能、高齢化といった新たな社会的課題に対して、日本の民法がどのように進化しているのかを理解する助けとなる内容です。
このMOOC（大規模公開オンライン講座）は、edX上でどなたでも無料でアクセス可能です。
東京科学大学は、日本に住む方や学ぶ方をはじめ、世界中の学習者に向けて、日本民法と現代社会との関わりを学ぶ機会を提供します。

The Institute of Science Tokyo has launched a new online course, “Basic Japanese Civil Law 2” available through edX. This course was originally developed by the Tokyo Institute of Technology and has since been revised and relaunched under the Institute of Science Tokyo.

Following the success of the previous Basic Japanese Civil Law MOOC, this new course explores contemporary legal issues in Japan related to everyday life. Topics include contracts, intellectual property, internet law, cashless transactions, bankruptcy, torts, AI liability, and protection of the elderly. Learners can test their understanding through quizzes offered after each unit, with both free and certificate options available.
The course is taught by Associate Professor Hironao Kaneko, whose research focuses on electronic evidence, bankruptcy law, civil procedure, and consumer law. This course helps learners understand how Japanese civil law evolves with society—addressing new challenges such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, and an aging population.
Anyone can access this MOOC free of charge on edX. The Institute of Science Tokyo invites learners worldwide, especially those living or studying in Japan, to explore Japanese civil law and its connection to contemporary society.

OCRD Staff Member Leads Basic Video Editing Workshop
OCRDスタッフが動画編集基礎講習を開催しました

英語の後に日本語が続きます

As part of the TA training program, OCRD staff member Kadomatsu Satoshi led a basic video editing workshop in Japanese at the Ookayama campus.
The workshop was offered twice, on Wednesday, July 9, and Monday, July 14, 2025, with the same content. A total of 12 participants, including OCRD TAs, attended the workshop. In addition, a faculty member from another university visited and later exchanged ideas with OCRD staff about organizing media workshops.
Participants learned the basics of video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and created videos with background music and subtitles. At the end of each session, several students presented their completed videos.
Participants gave positive feedback, including comments such as “I was able to understand the key points of video editing,” and “I would like to apply what I learned in my TA duties.”
OCRD plans to continue offering workshops that enhance TA skills and support their activities.

TAトレーニングの一環として、大岡山キャンパスにおいてOCRDスタッフの門松怜史が動画編集基礎講習を日本語で開催しました。
講習は2025年7月9日（水）と14日（月）に同内容で2回開催し、OCRD TAをはじめとする12名が参加しました。また、今回は他大学の教員に見学に来ていただき、後日、OCRDスタッフとメディア講習の運営方法について意見交換を行いました。
参加者は、Adobe Premiere Proを使用した動画編集の基礎を学び、BGMとテロップの付いた動画を作成しました。講習の最後には、数名の学生が製作した動画を発表しました。
参加者からは「動画編集の重要なポイントが理解できた」や「学習した内容をTA業務等で活用していきたい」という声が聞かれ好評でした。
OCRDでは、TAのスキル向上に向けて、今後も様々な講習を開催する予定です。
