We are privileged to announce that GRIPS alumnus Mr. Le Minh Hung was elected as new Prime Minister of Viet Nam at the first session of the 16th National Assembly on April 7, 2026.

Mr. Hung graduated from the IMF-sponsored Transition Economy Program at the Graduate School for Policy Science – GRIPS’ predecessor in 1997.

VGP – Chairman of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung was unanimously elected as new Prime Minister of Viet Nam on Tuesday at the first session of the 16th National Assembly.

本学修了生のレ・ミン・フン氏が2026年4月7日、ベトナム新首相に選出されました。
フン氏は本学の前身である埼玉大学大学院政策科学研究科のTransition Economy Programを1997年に修了しています。

4月3日、黒田東彦政策研究院シニア・フェローを座長とする「国際経済秩序の変容と将来展望に関する研究会」主催のシンポジウム「トランプ後の世界と国際通商秩序」が開催されました。

本シンポジウムでは、トランプ第二次政権による一方的な関税措置を契機に国際通商秩序が大きく揺らぐ中、有志国の連携を通じて多国間自由貿易体制を再活性化するための具体的方策を示す緊急提言を『自由貿易体制の維持・発展に向けた新たな国際通商秩序の構築』として取りまとめて公表。約1年にわたる研究会での議論の成果を踏まえ、今後の国際通商ルール形成に向けた現実的かつ実行可能な道筋を提示するものです。

政策研究に興味を持つ社会人を主に受け入れる大学院のみの国立大学法人です。1-2年間の修士、3年間の博士、および5年間の修士博士一貫課程を持ち、学生は留学生が2/3を占め、国際開発、経済学、政治・行政学、数理計画....

On April 3, 2026, GRIPS Alliance’s Research Group on the Transformation and Future Outlook of the International Economic Order (Chair: Haruhiko Kuroda, GRIPS Alliance Senior Fellow) held a symposium titled “The World After the Trump Administration and the International Trade Order.”

Against the backdrop of significant disruption to the international trade order, including unilateral tariff measures under the second Trump administration, the symposium marked the release of policy recommendations outlining concrete steps to revitalize the multilateral free trade system through cooperation among like-minded countries. The recommendations reflect approximately one year of deliberations within the Research Group and present a realistic and actionable pathway for future international trade rulemaking.

GRIPS is a graduate school in Tokyo that offers MA & PhD programs taught in English on public policy, development, economics, political science, international relations, and operations research, etc. Full scholarships are available. 3月19日、2025年度春季学位記授与式を挙行しました。

大田弘子学長は、GRIPSが育てるべき人材像を "統合力と突破力をもった未来のリーダー” と示しつつ、「GRIPSで政策を基礎から学び多様な分野の教員から異なるアプローチ手法を吸収してこられた皆さんには、政策のプロフェッショナルとして日本そしてそれぞれの国で、いま取組むべきことを考え抜いて、逃げずに、軋轢をおそれずに、課題と切り結んでほしい」と102名の修了生に対して式辞を贈りました。
修了生の皆さん、学位の取得おめでとうございます！
