【その他】むずかしい日本語のことば (Difficult Japanese words)
いつもは国際関連のイベント情報を提供しているこのFacebookページですが、たまにはちょっと趣向を変えてみましょう。
本サイトは留学生の方も多くご覧になっていると思うのですが、みなさん、日本語学習はうまく行っていますか。日本語で難しい言葉、わからない表現があったらぜひ教えてください！この記事のコメント欄に質問を共有してみませんか。解決するかもしれません。

外国語といえば英語以外よく分からないのですが、個人的に英語から日本語に訳しづらいなあと思うのが「懐かしい」です。表現は英語でもできるのでしょうけど、「懐かしい」を1語で表す形容詞はあるのかなあ。「やっぱり（やはり）」も難しそう、でも日本語に慣れた学習者の方は「やっぱり」結構使っているかもしれません。

If you are Japanese language native, please feel free to answer to their questions. As a Japanese native, I would be happy to give my feedback, too. English is pretty much the only foreign language I know, and one of the words that I think will be hard to translate from English to Japanese is “懐かしい(natsukashi)”. I am sure you can express the feeling in English but I wonder if there is a single word concisely describing it. I also suspect “やっぱり（やはり）, yappari (yahari)” will be another word added to the same list, yet I sometimes hear the word coming out of the mouth of a Japanese language learner who is well acquainted with it.
