Alumni Party of Nanko-Kuo Lab

Recently, we held a reunion party with our lab alumni. Seven graduates kindly joined us, making it a lively and enjoyable gathering. It was a great opportunity to reconnect, share updates, and reminisce about our time in the lab.

We were especially glad to see that everyone is doing well in their respective careers. Nanko-sensei also seemed very happy to meet the alumni again and catch up with them.

It was a memorable and meaningful evening for all of us, and we hope to continue this tradition in the future.

𝗝𝗜𝗠𝗠 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝟭𝟳𝟴𝘁𝗵) 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

We recently participated in the conference at Chiba Institute of Technology's Shin-Narashino Campus. We would like to sincerely thank the organizers and sponsors.

Everything went smoothly, and for me, as an M1 student, my first conference in Japan was an exciting experience.

There will be many more conferences and projects ahead. Let's continue doing our best together!!!

Hello everyone,
This is Suzuki, a second-year master’s student (M2).
Today, I would like to share our experience of the Master’s Thesis Presentation.
Although I have presented at academic conferences before, I felt especially nervous this time, knowing that it marked the culmination of the past two years of research. During my presentation, my laser pointer was shaking quite a bit!
All of the M2 students handled the Q&A sessions very well, though it was clear that everyone was nervous. Thankfully, we all completed our presentations successfully, and the day ended with smiles of relief.
After the presentations, we took group photos together. For us M2 students, this event marks an important milestone.
We still have thesis revisions ahead of us, and some of us are also preparing for upcoming conferences. We will continue to do our best throughout the remainder of our student life.
Thank you very much for your continued support!

Heavy Snowfall and Snow Removal

This week, a strong cold wave has hit northern Japan, and around 40 cm of snow accumulated at NUT.

This morning’s seminar began with snow removal in front of the Mechanical Engineering building. Thanks to the help of our lab members, the administrative staff, Kanbayashi-sensei, and Kurahashi-sensei, the work was completed in about 30 minutes.

Although dealing with heavy snow can be challenging, it was a good example of teamwork in action.
