Domestic Volunteer Program, Fukushima: Global BBA Student Interview

Every year NUCB organises volunteering projects in Japan or abroad. This year 3 Global BBA students took part in the program for the first time.

Robert, a 2nd year volunteered his time at Iwaki-no-Mori, a non-profit organization in Iwaki, helping to restore the surrounding fields of Yunodake Sanso.

Coming from EBS, Jean joined NUCB Undergraduate School's Global BBA program as an exchange student for one year.

"I had many memorable moments in Japan [...] The school was absolutely beautiful, everyone I met was extremely nice to me and the whole country was like a big amusement park. [...] It was a nice change of pace from the studying you are most likely used to and it didn’t hurt that we did not have a single exam during the year I studied in NUCB. If you want to experience a completely different kind of studying and exchange experience filled with fun, weird and definitely memorable moments all I can say is Japan is a place to consider."

Jean travelled to Japan in the middle of the pandemic and followed both virtual and on-campus courses during his exchange.

Already the end of the Spring semester!

It’s vacation time for the 45 exchange and Double Degree students who experienced our classes both on-campus and online.

With the start of the Tokyo Olympics on the 23rd of July and the end of the rainy season, we hope this period will give our continuing students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in Japan and its culture.

We can’t wait to welcome the new incoming exchange students and new Global BBA students on Campus in September for an enriching face-to-face experience.

Campus Life - Global BBA Orientation Spring 2021

On Thursday 25th March, NUCB Undergraduate School held an online orientation to virtually welcome the new international students joining us in Spring 2021.

In total, students from 38 nationalities joined the session, a mixture of full-time students, transfer students, as well as students from our partner schools coming on an exchange or completing a double degree.

Join us for a virtual information session to learn about Life in Japan and studying at NUCB!

The presentation will last around 30 minutes and will cover living in Japan, life at NUCB including dormitories and case method, part-time work, and more.

We will be joined by a student from France who joined us on exchange in 2019.

We will hold time at the end of the presentation for Q&A - We look forward to seeing you there!
