A huge congratulations to Professor Dr. Suguru Mori from our Laboratory of Architecture + Planning, Hokkaido University for publishing the book (as editor and author) titled "Community Relocation, Disasters and Climate Change in Asia-Pacific Region". The book uses the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake 2011 to realise community relocation with human rights and ethics around the world.
The book has chapters by eminent authors from Japan, Australia, and Vietnam. Congratulations to the authors Associate Professor Dr. Rie Nomura, Dr. Richard Carter-White, Dr. Yugo Hatakeyama, Dr. Ken Tsubouchi, Dr. Naoko Kuriyama, Dr. Diah W Wulandari, Dr. Thinh Duy Do, Dr. Tetsuya Okada, and Dr. Junko Ikezoe for their stunning research. The book aims to propose measures to carry out community relocation before and after disasters that can be executed in a democratic world, by upholding the rights of each individual and respecting the social life of the community.
Special thanks to Professor Dr. Haimanti Banerji for the wonderful foreword and Architect Nilanjan Mandal for the amazing cover page. Finally, thanks to Mr. Rishi Seth from COPAL Publishing Group for the overall management and timely market release. Make sure to grab a copy soon.
