Message from the speaker:
In a few years, you will be graduating from Hokkaido University. What is your career plan? Return to your home country and find a job? Stay in Japan to work here? Or are you not yet decided? Whatever your career plan may be, do you want to verify your understanding of a significant social change outside the campus?
An interactive online seminar will give you a social perspective of a business professional who has been in the ICT, Information, and Communication Technology industry for decades. Being a nationally-certified career consultant as well, the lecturer, Mr. Yoshichika IIDA will talk about the time of VUCA, Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity and will give you a hint to design and develop your career plan.

e3 program calls for scholarship applications by international students who wish to enroll in the Graduate School of Engineering from October 2024 under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program.
On-line application period: October 23- November 28, 2023
Applicants are expected to be academically excellent and strongly motivated to conduct Master's or Doctoral level research at one of laboratories at the program.
Candidates will be chosen at the program through a competitive process.
This is a uniform call for MEXT scholarship for "Global Engineering Leadership Program for Sustainable Development” and other MEXT scholarships (University Recommendation) such as “General” and “Study-in-Japan Global Network Scholarship”.

[Call for applications: October 2022 enrollment with CSC program (prospective applicants for Scholarship Program supported by China Scholarship Council)]
On-line submission period: August 16-September 24, 2021
If you are a Chinese national and seeking admission in the e3 program with the sponsorship of the Scholarship Program supported by China Scholarship Council in 2022, prior your application to the CSC in your home country you need 1) to be granted admission to the Doctoral course at the e3 program from October 2022 and 2) to obtain an acceptance certificate for CSC Program candidates from Hokkaido University. To apply for the e3 program, please follow the guidelines published at the e3 web page. Please note that Graduate School of Engineering, Hokkaido University will recommend for CSC program-2022 only those who are accepted for Doctoral Course under the e3 program, October 2022 enrollment.
The following categories of applicants cannot be recommended for CSC-2022 from the Graduate School of Engineering:
• Research Student, Master's course applicants
• Doctoral course applicants for April 2023 Intake.
• Applicants for General course via the International Students Examination.
• Applicants already enrolled in Japanese universities.

We are soon to start accepting applications for Master's and Doctoral course commencing in April 2022 (self-supported international students or candidates with their own scholarship etc), including Double degree candidates.
External (those applying from overseas or currently studying at other Japanese universities etc.) as well as internal candidates (such as currently enrolled in the e3 students, who wish to continue to PhD program, Research student's continuing to Master's or Doctoral program etc.) shall apply during this period.
