Hokkaido University Festival (Hokudai-sai) starts today! 🌏🍴

As part of the festival, the International Food Festival (IFF) brings together international students from around the world to share flavors of their home countries on the Sapporo Campus.

With 17 student-run booths serving dishes from across the globe, come hungry and explore new cultures through food. 🥘

📌 More student groups, clubs, and faculties across campus are also hosting a variety of activities and performances throughout the festival.

Join us on the Main Street of Sapporo Campus from June 5–7!

We are currently recruiting participants for the “150th Anniversary PR Internship” (Hokkaido University students only).

With the extension of the application period, we spoke with Daniel Schenz, who worked as a PR intern during their student years and is now in charge of international communications at the Strategic Planning Office at Kobe University (Ph.D., Graduate School of Life Science, 2019).*

The Nitobe College Honors Program: Graduate Curriculum will hold the 22nd Mentor Forum, as part of Hokkaido University's 150th anniversary.

Through lectures and open discussion, four Nitobe College Mentors will share the stories behind their professional journeys and explore what it really takes to navigate a career that refuses to stay in one lane.

Nitobe College will open the final presentations of Global Advanced Course I, in collaboration with the Hokkaido University 150th Anniversary Project.

In this session, student teams will present their findings and recommendations to address a challenge identified by the City of Sapporo: promoting sustainable interaction between foreign residents and local communities.

Libraries are said to have begun as places to preserve books.
Over time, their roles have expanded, but their spaces are still closely tied to learning and everyday life.

This series documents 23 libraries across Hokkaido University, capturing their unique quietness and landscapes.

時代とともにその役割は広がり、今もなお、学びと日常に寄り添う場であり続けています。

On May 16, students, faculty, staff, and their family members from Hokkaido University participated in a coastal cleanup activity at Atsuta Beach in Ishikari City as part of “Hokkaido Sea Cleanup Operation! Vol.6.” 🌊🧤♻️

Coordinated by the Hokkaido University Institute for the Advancement of Sustainability, the event offered participants a chance to experience environmental issues firsthand.
