19th Annual Meeting of JSEP, held at the University of Tsukuba on March 8, 2026.
The presentation title: “Changes in User Awareness and Behavior Resulting from Bicycle
Traffic and Parking Regulations and Street Furniture Installation on University Campuses.”
This research was conducted as part of the “Third Area Smart Campus Project” by the
Human Smart City Research Organization at the University of Tsukuba, and as a joint
research initiative with Kajima Corporation

Wataru Kawana, a second-year student in the Shako-PPS program, and his colleagues
received the Best Young Presentation Award at the Annual Conference of the Japanese
Society of Environmental Psychology, held at the University of Tsukuba on March 8, 2026.
Their presentation was based on the outcomes of coursework Exercise in Urban and Regional
Planning, in which students conduct practical research to propose solutions to social issues.
