The Bungoma National Polytechnic-TBNP is pleased to announce the successful completion and official handover of the Solar Spark Project following the installation of a solar energy system at the institution.
A key highlight of the project was the deliberate involvement of our own trainees throughout the entire installation process. Solar Spark worked closely with the trainees, giving them an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on practical experience, develop technical competencies and apply classroom knowledge in a real-world solar installation environment.
This approach reinforces our commitment to Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) by ensuring that our trainees are not only learning theory but are also actively participating in practical projects that prepare them for the world of work and entrepreneurship.
The project marks an important milestone in our commitment to embracing renewable energy, sustainability, innovation and energy efficiency. The installed solar system will support the institution in reducing reliance on conventional electricity, improving energy efficiency and promoting a greener learning environment.
We sincerely appreciate the Solar Spark Project team, our trainees, trainers and all partners involved for their technical expertise, commitment and collaboration throughout the implementation of the project.
The successful completion of this project demonstrates the power of industryβinstitution collaboration in nurturing practical skills, innovation and sustainable solutions within TVET institutions.
