LEAVING FOR A LIVING
I thought I was sick
To think how I can sink
And forget the troubled world
Before my time come to grow old.

I wanted to sit on water and float in a basin
Let the waves carry me further into deep ocean
For it was not a crime
For me to die by the time.

Can I be in a position to meet a mermaid
I had a picture in my mind hard to paint
I got a severe war that time I fought
Which was being incited by my thoughts.

She came and told me how much she loved me
Yet she was not willing to prepare me a meal
She really needed to stay but hands were tied
She shade her tears because she had tried.

She was leaving to survive a living
I could not tell how I was feeling
I could bid her goodbye my love
We will come to meet if we got life.

She invited me to her wedding
With my eyes frequently shedding
An old man who charmed with a dowry
I couldn't show myself because of worry.

Her parents claimed they brought her that far
Ready to disown her if she rejected the offer
What's marriage when wedding without love
What a relationship that won't make you laugh.

He managed to buy a bride but not affection
He thought worldly pleasure was perfection
With time it was marriage without happiness
Two people came together without oneness.

My empty pocket couldn't bring justice
Loneliness and desire denied me ecstasy
We dreamt of a future untold together
As we vowed to love and cherish forever.

MY DAUGHTER
I will repeat with time again and again
Your man is there kept right in your arms
What you see my daughter are vultures
Men who have despised their cultures.

A woman make a man to be her own
You should never give up doing it right
I used to do what was right to your mother
Unique values that are rarely offered.

When a man leaves you when you were right
He will live a life of regrets to remember
My daughter don't repay back evil to evil
For wicked people will die of their deeds.

Don't claim anything that you freely offered
God will multiply in abundance and then bless
Please don't persecute your husband to a man
For love is jealousy but it never revenge.

A respectful woman dress modesty
She deny influence from the world
Love people from your man family
Adore your womanhood and respect your esteem.

A man is treated with kind like a child
A woman is respected with love like a child
Live long my daughter to extend the family
Let people who leave you
Desire another chance to be with you again.
