The Commandant General, James K. Tembur, MBS, accompanied by Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Francis Ndegwa, and Council Member, Caroline Kinyanjui, conducted an inspection of a consignment of 50 dump trucks (tippers) and two wheel loaders in the Republic of Korea.

The modern machinery is expected to greatly enhance NYS operational efficiency, strengthen equipment hire services, and support the implementation of key national development programmes, including the ClimateWorx Programme, Nairobi River Regeneration Programme, and other transformative nation-building initiatives.

During the visit to Daewoo Trucks, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the company's manufacturing processes and vehicle models.

The team undertook a detailed inspection of all 50 dump trucks, with sampled units exceeding expectations in both quality and specifications. The vehicles, already branded in NYS colours, have been approved for shipment and are expected to arrive in the country this July.

This strategic investment marks a new chapter for the Service, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing service delivery, driving commercialization, and supporting national development priorities across the country.
