📢 OFFICIAL KUCSA NOTICE

The Kakamega Universities and Colleges Students’ Association (KUCSA–CBO) hereby announces the dissolution of the current Governing Council and the declaration of elective positions as vacant, effective 13th October 2026, as stated in the official memo.

The Elections Board shall remain in office to oversee the electoral process, while the Office of the Chairperson and Secretary General continue to provide interim leadership pending the election and swearing-in of a new council.

We sincerely appreciate the outgoing Governing Council for its dedicated service to students across Kakamega County.

KAKAMEGA COUNTY EDUCATION FUND LOAN - APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN.

The Kakamega County Government, together with HELB, would like to inform all students that the application portal for the Kakamega County Education Fund Loan for first-time applicants is now open for the 2026/2027 academic year.

All qualified undergraduate students can now apply through: https://portal.hef.co.ke/auth/signin

This loan is meant to support students from Kakamega County who are joining university and even continuing students.

📅 DEADLINE

The last day to apply is September 4, 2026. No extension.

WHO CAN APPLY?

You qualify if you meet these conditions:

- County: You must be from Kakamega County.
- Course: You must be doing a Bachelor's Degree.
- University: You must be admitted to a recognized public or private university in Kenya or within East Africa.
- Sponsorship: Both KUCCPS students and self-sponsored students can apply.
- HELB/HEF Loan: You must also apply for the national HELB/HEF first-time loan on https://www.hef.co.ke/

📢 NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT

The Kakamega Universities and Colleges Students' Association (KUCSA) wishes to inform all members and stakeholders that the Special General Meeting (SGM) scheduled for Saturday, 8th August 2026 has been postponed.

This decision has been made due to the unforeseen scheduling of the Linda Mwananchi Brigade tour in Kakamega County on 8th and 9th August 2026, which has affected our planned program.

A new date for the SGM will be communicated in due course. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding and continued support.
