Today, The Co-operative University of Kenya's Alumni Association (CUKAA) Chairperson, 𝗖𝗣𝗔 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗮 𝗔𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗮𝘆𝗮, met with the 𝗖𝗨𝗞𝗦𝗨 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, led by Students’ President 𝗠𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗢𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗼, alongside representatives from the Alumni Relations, Resource Mobiliztion, and Partnerships Unit. Discussions explored mentorship and career development, resource mobilisation, joint community programmes, support for sustainable student initiatives, cooperative culture, alumni engagement, and collaboration on activities that strengthen student development, leadership, and the overall University community.

While officiating at the Swearing-in Ceremony of The Co-operative University of Kenya's Alumni Association (CUKAA) Executive Committee, the Ag. Vice Chancellor, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗮𝗰 𝗞. 𝗡𝘆𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼, reaffirmed the University's commitment to strengthening meaningful engagement with its alumni. Prof. Nyamongo recognised alumni as integral stakeholders and a living testimony of The Co-operative University of Kenya’s contribution to society.

Speaking at the event, the Ag. Vice Chancellor highlighted that the Executive Committee will play a key role in strengthening alumni connections, professional networks, mentorship, research, internships, fundraising, knowledge sharing and institutional visibility. We looks forward to building a vibrant, connected, influential and mutually beneficial alumni community.

𝗖𝗣𝗔 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗮 𝗔𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗮𝘆𝗮, the newly sworn-in Executive Committee Chairperson of The Co-operative University of Kenya's Alumni Association (CUKAA), formally accepted his mandate to serve CUKAA and its members with humility, integrity, and accountability. His leadership is committed to open, consultative, and responsive governance, with a focus on strengthening systems, maintaining proper records, managing resources prudently, and creating clear avenues for member participation.

The Executive Committee seeks to create practical value for alumni through opportunities for reconnection, professional networking, mentorship, enterprise development, and giving back. Ultimately, the Executive will maintain a respectful and constructive relationship with The Co-operative University of Kenya, its alma mater, while safeguarding CUKAA’s independence.
