On Friday, 4th September 2026, the First-Year Orientation at University of Kabianga entered its second day, with the New Students gathering at the University Pavilion for an engaging session on academic, administrative and student support services.

Students were introduced to research, linkages and extension opportunities, programmes at the Kericho Town Campus, quality assurance, gender mainstreaming and the Lipton Tea Innovation and Technology Academy (LTITA), including its specialized short courses.

They also received practical guidance on accessing healthcare, accommodation and catering services, Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) funding, official communication channels, public relations management, ISO procedures and spiritual support.

The session gave the students valuable insights to help them settle into campus life and make the most of their university experience.

On Thursday, 3rd September 2026, University of Kabianga 2026/2027 First-Year students officially began their orientation journey at the Main Campus Pavilion grounds.

Day 1 gave the new students a chance to learn more about campus life, the support services available to them and what it takes to make the most of their university experience.

They received valuable insights from the University facilitators including; Dr. Peter Ngugi (Dean of Students) who covered student rules and regulations, Mr. Erick Makokha on special needs support, Ms. Judy Murgor on mental health, Dr. Emilly Keter on career and placement services, Rev. Samson Abong' on chaplaincy, clubs, HELB services and cohesion, Mr. Abraham Ong'onga on games and sports, Mr. Hezron Bett on counselling services and Mr. Chadwik Amunze on campus security.

As the orientation sessions continue, all First-Year Students are encouraged to stay engaged, ask questions and actively build the connections that will define their academic journey.

University of Kabianga, Kapkatet Campus continued with its reporting and registration exercise for the new intake, welcoming students joining the School of Health Sciences.

The campus is receiving students pursuing Clinical Medicine, Nursing and Public Health, with registration and clearance desks operating throughout the day to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible.

The University Management appreciates the admission team, students, parents and guardians for their cooperation in keeping the process orderly. Registration and clearance will continue throughout the week as the campus gets ready for orientation.

On Monday, 31st August 2026, thousands of parents, guardians and incoming first-year students arrived at the University of Kabianga for registration and admission.

From early hours of the morning, the University grounds came alive as students from different parts of the country accompanied by their parents and guardians, reported to begin their academic journey. Vehicles streamed into the campus while long queues formed at various registration and admission points.

University staff, student leaders and volunteers were on hand to welcome the new students and guide them through the admission process. Parents and guardians were also assisted with information on registration, accommodation and orientation, among other essential procedures.

The admission of more than 5,000 first-year students marks a significant milestone for the University and reflects the growing confidence that students and parents continue to place in the institution. The strong enrolment also points to the University's expanding academic programmes and continued commitment to quality education, innovation and excellence.

To facilitate a smooth admission exercise, the University has put in place measures to streamline the process, with various departments working closely together to receive, register and orient the new students.

University of Kabianga warmly welcomes the 2026/2027 first year cohort and wishes them a successful and fulfilling academic journey.

The wait is finally over. Just a weekend to go before the start of your campus journey. University of Kabianga is ready to welcome the 2026/2027 First Years from Monday, 31st August 2026.

As you get ready, remember to pack your essential documents including your admission letter, result slip and National Identity Card (ID). If you are 17 years old, carry your Birth Certificate instead.

Take this weekend to rest, double-check your checklist and get yourself ready for an exciting new chapter. It is time to learn, grow, lead and make an impact.

On Tuesday, 25th August 2026, University of Kabianga welcomed officials from Family Bank Litein Branch for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening the existing partnership between the two institutions.

The delegation that comprised of Mr. Jerim Oselu (Branch Manager) and Mr. Linus Makuri (Operations Officer), was received by Prof. Isaac Naibei (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration & Finance).

The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration, improving access to quality banking and financial services and creating greater value for the University community. Prof. Naibei appreciated the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed the University's commitment to maintaining a strong and mutually beneficial partnership with Family Bank.

The Family Bank team also expressed its commitment to supporting the University, its staff and students as a reliable financial partner. The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to strengthen their relationship and explore new ways of working together for the benefit of the University community.
