Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) hosted the Commission for University Education (CUE) inspection team on Tuesday, 29th September 2026, as part of the Commission’s mandate to promote and assure quality in university education.

The inspection provided an opportunity for MNUC to showcase progress in academic programmes, governance, infrastructure, teaching and learning facilities, student support services, and institutional systems, while engaging with the team on areas for continuous improvement.

MNUC Management welcomed the inspection team and reaffirmed the College’s commitment to quality, accountability and continuous improvement as it advances its mandate in higher education.

From 23rd to 25th September 2026, Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) partnered with the Ministry of ICT and the Digital Economy to host an Ajira Digital training programme, bringing together students eager to explore the growing opportunities in the digital economy. The three-day training exposed students to practical skills in online work, freelancing, digital platforms and entrepreneurship, while helping them understand how they can turn their knowledge and talents into sustainable digital opportunities. The sessions provided an interactive space where students engaged with trainers, asked questions, shared experiences and learned about the realities of working in the digital space.

The Ajira Training Programme is back! 🎉
The training is set to commence tomorrow, Wednesday, 23rd September 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and will run for three days, concluding on Friday, 25th September 2026.

As usual, we encourage all students, particularly first-year students, to take advantage of this valuable opportunity and participate in the training.
The programme is designed to equip you with skills, knowledge and exposure that can open up new possibilities and opportunities in the digital economy and beyond.

Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) has successfully concluded a week-long series of Quality Management System (QMS) capacity-building trainings aimed at strengthening staff competence and supporting the effective implementation of our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
The programme featured QMS Awareness, QMS Implementers, and Internal Quality Auditors Training, equipping staff with practical knowledge and skills in quality management principles, QMS implementation, internal auditing, identification of nonconformities, corrective actions, and continual improvement.
Through continuous staff development, MNUC remains committed to sustaining ISO 9001:2015 certification, enhancing customer satisfaction, and fostering a culture of quality, accountability and continual improvement across the institution.

Mama Ngina University College (MNUC) recently hosted a team from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) for a constructive engagement focused on creating partnerships and exploring areas of mutual collaboration. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss opportunities in the accounting profession, capacity building, research, industry linkages, and knowledge exchange, reinforcing MNUC’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that enhance academic and professional excellence.

And just like that… our admission, registration and orientation season has come to an end!
As we get ready to settle back into our regular MNUC routine, we couldn’t let the week go by without appreciating the amazing MNUC staff who made it all happen.
We’ve received lots of positive feedback on the admission and registration process, and that’s a win we’re very proud to share.

Happy Monday from a much larger MNUC!
After a busy past week of registration, admission and orientation, the induction of our new first-year cohort culminated in a Matriculation Ceremony earlier today, led by our Principal, Prof. Zipporah Ng’ang’a.
With over 1,200 students, the largest cohort yet, the newest members of the MNUC family were warmly welcomed by the wider University College community, comprising members of Management, faculty, staff and continuing students.
We’re excited to welcome our newest cohort and look forward to witnessing their growth, development and achievements throughout their journey at MNUC.

Day Two of registration and admission is coming to a close, and it’s safe to say that the vast majority of our first-year students have now reported.
If you haven’t reported yet, don’t worry! Registration and admission will continue even as orientation begins tomorrow.
Orientation will provide an important opportunity for our first-years to familiarise themselves with the University College, learn about our programmes, services, policies and expectations, and get settled into campus life before classes commence next week.

Day One of registration and admission for our new first-year students at MNUC has been a great success! The process, which began bright and early at 6:45 a.m. today, will continue until 5:00 p.m. and resume tomorrow.
