BT ADVISORY LAUNCHES TWO-DAY ISLAMIC FINTECH WORKSHOP, REINFORCING BTI’S VISION AS AN ISLAMIC FINANCE POWERHOUSE
Today marks the commencement of a two-day Islamic Fintech Workshop organized by BT Advisory, a subsidiary of BTI College, underscoring its growing role in advancing Islamic finance knowledge, innovation, and digital transformation.
Running from 4th to 5th June 2026, the workshop brings together scholars, fintech practitioners, developers, and industry stakeholders to engage in critical discussions shaping the future of Shariah-compliant financial systems and Islamic fintech ecosystems.
Day One will focus on foundational and technological dimensions of Islamic fintech, beginning with sessions on Islamic economics and the principles of Islamic fintech, followed by discussions on banking technology, governance, audit systems, and Maqasid al-Shariah. Participants will further explore the role of artificial intelligence in SACCO transformation, digital innovation, and Islamic fintech system integration, equipping attendees with practical and technical insights into emerging financial technologies.
Day Two will shift toward implementation and market readiness, featuring discussions on converting conventional core banking systems into Shariah-compliant models, as well as examining trends, risks, challenges, and the future of Islamic fintech. The program will also include collaborative breakout sessions to identify strategies for improving Islamic fintech uptake, culminating in discussions on Islamic fintech product development and go-to-market strategies.
Through this initiative, BT Advisory continues to strengthen the vision of BTI College in positioning itself as an emerging Islamic finance powerhouse, committed to promoting knowledge, innovation, and practical solutions for the growth of the Islamic finance sector in the region.
