SOLARIZATION AUDIT BY EPRA

Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College had the privilege of hosting Judy Kirui, Charity Mwita, Vincent Omollo and Mercy Kariuku - Officers from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), alongside project contractor, Hudomer Technologies.

The team conducted an audit of the Solarization Project to review implementation progress, ensure compliance with quality standards, and provide strategic recommendations for optimization.

This joint assessment marks a significant milestone in the journey toward sustainable infrastructure, energy efficiency, and operational excellence.

The institution is grateful to EPRA and Hudomer Technologies for their expert guidance and continued partnership as we power our campus with renewable energy.

CBET TRAINING (FISH POND CONSTRUCTION) - AGRICULTURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

Trainees from the Agriculture and Environmental Studies Department at Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College undertook a hands-on practical session in aquaculture production, demonstrating key competencies in fish pond establishment and management.

The practical exercise focused on critical stages of pond preparation, including installation of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pond liner to ensure water retention and prevent seepage, controlled filling of the pond and pond fertilization to stimulate the growth of natural fish food organisms (phytoplankton and zooplankton), an essential step in preparing the pond before stocking.

This competency-based practical training equips trainees with industry-relevant skills in sustainable aquaculture, enabling them to apply modern fish farming technologies that enhance productivity, resource efficiency, and environmental conservation.

At Machakos Town TVC, we remain committed to nurturing highly skilled graduates through practical, competency-based training that meets the evolving demands of the agricultural sector.

INSPECTION FOR ADMISSION AND TRAINING OF NYS TRAINEES AT MACHAKOS TOWN TVC

Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College was honored to host a joint delegation from the State Department for TVET (SDTVET) and the National Youth Service (NYS) for a comprehensive institutional preparedness inspection.

This vital exercise pave the way for Machakos Town TVC to admit and train NYS trainees, equipping them with market-driven technical skills.

We were privileged to host: NYS Delegation - Mr. Nicodemus Okong'o and Mr. Abraham Ndung'u; SDTVET Delegation - Mr. James Mbogo and Ms. Faith Kamau
