~KeMU Hosts Council of Legal Education Audit for Bachelor of Laws Programme~
On Wednesday 6th May 2026, Kenya Methodist University welcomed the Council of Legal Education for the School of Law audit held at the KeMU Towers, Nairobi Campus, marking a significant milestone as the University enters the final stages of launching its Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme.
The University delegation was led by the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Prof. John Kobia Ataya, accompanied by members of the University Governance ,Management Board and Senate. The Council of Legal Education delegation was led by Ms. Annah C. Konuche from the Directorate of Standards, Licensing, Supervision and Compliance, alongside a team of distinguished senior counsel, legal scholars, and respected professionals in legal education and regulation, underscoring the importance and rigor of the accreditation process. KeMU stakeholders and Friends among them, former Meru Governor, Hon. Kiraitu Murungi; Mr. Benson Kinoti from Google Africa among others.
The comprehensive assessment focused on institutional readiness, curriculum quality, mode of instruction, standards and compliance with the Legal Education Act and accreditation requirements.
This important engagement reflects KeMU’s commitment to academic excellence, professional training and the delivery of quality legal education that prepares future advocates, leaders and change makers in society.
