Nobody talks about this part of success. One day you’re in a tiny room in Nairobi wondering if anyone will ever take your dream seriously. The next, you’re standing in your own institution, watching students walk through the doors carrying the same dreams you once had.I still remember the days when every inquiry felt like a breakthrough. When I was the receptionist, marketer, trainer, cleaner, accountant, and CEO at the same time 😂People see Carey Beauty College today and assume it has always been this way.
They don’t see the nights i cried myself to sleep, the night of doubt.rent was due.The moments when I questioned whether I should just go back to employment. The times I posted content and got 5 views. 😭But God🥹Now I watch students travel from all over Kenya and outside Kenya to come & learn a skill, build a business, and change their lives.
And every time I see a graduate open a salon, get a job, or send me a photo of their first paying client, I remember why I started.
If you’re in that season where the dream feels small, keep going.
One day you’ll be the testimony someone else needs.
And when that day comes, you’ll realize the struggle wasn’t punishment but preparation.
Tag a friend who’s building something from scratch and let them know Their breakthrough might be closer than they think🙏🏽
