On 2 February 2026, the School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS) at Tangaza University, under the leadership of Dr. Cecilia Osyanju - Mahesh, joined the global Church in celebrating the World Day for Consecrated Life on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord (Candlemas Day).

The celebration recognised the vital contribution of religious men and women to the Arts and Social Sciences. Reflections by Rev. Dr. Tony Amisah and Fr. Karau highlighted the meaning of consecrated life and the call to serve faithfully wherever one is sent.

In her remarks, Dr. Mercy Kibe (HR) underscored the important role played by religious men and women in shaping academic life and society. SASS also expressed gratitude to its 24 sponsoring congregations, whose diverse charisms continue to strengthen our academic community.

We remain deeply thankful for the dedication and service of all consecrated men and women.
