Artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) is a vital livelihood for many communities across the globe, but it comes with significant health and safety risks. Exposure to hazardous chemicals, unsafe working conditions, and environmental degradation are just some of the challenges faced by miners. This training offers a crucial opportunity to learn about best practices for safe mining, including the proper handling of mercury and cyanide, alternative gold processing technologies, and sustainable waste management. By attending this training, you can contribute to a safer and more sustainable mining sector, protecting both miners and the environment. Don't miss this chance to equip yourself with knowledge that can save lives and livelihoods.
