KSTVET was honoured to host Mr Buti Kgwaridi Manamela, South Africa’s Minister of Higher Education and Training, for a knowledge-sharing visit.

He was accompanied by a distinguished delegation from the South African High Commission and senior representatives from the higher education sector.

The engagement focused on strengthening collaboration in digital pedagogy and trainer development, as both sides explored opportunities for continued partnership and growth in the TVET sector.

🎉 Exciting milestone for KSTVET!
We have just concluded the Jitume Lead & Earn Digital Work Programme — bringing together trainers from across Kenya for a focused curriculum review and full digitalisation of training content at Nyeri National Polytechnic. 🙌
The world of work is changing fast. The gig economy and digital platforms are no longer the future — they are here. Our TVET institutions must be ready to prepare learners for this new reality, and that's exactly what Jitume is doing.
📊 Here's what we've achieved so far:
✅ 1,200 trainers equipped nationally
🎯 200 Jitume Centre Managers to be trained this year
🎯 400 Tasker Trainers to be trained this year
The curriculum has been redesigned to be more practical, accessible, and aligned to real digital work opportunities — so that every trainer walking into a TVET classroom can genuinely open doors to the gig economy for their learners. 💡
Kenya's youth deserve skills that work in today's world. We are committed to making that happen. 💪🇰🇪
📣 Are you a digital work platform, online job aggregator, or organisation supporting youth employment? Let's connect and scale this together!
