Did you know that September is dedicated to raising awareness about Deaf people, celebrating their identity and promoting inclusion?
Throughout this important month, we;
1. Celebrate Sign Language as a vital means of communication and a fundamental linguistic right.
2. Advocate for Deaf rights and inclusion,
3. Challenge stigma and discrimination
4. Promote awareness by helping the wider society understand the experiences, contributions, aspirations, and unique identity of Deaf people.
We warmly invite members of the wider society to enrol in our Basic Kenyan Sign Language classes and acquire practical communication skills to help bridge the communication gap experienced by Deaf people every day.
Learning KSL is more than acquiring a language; it is a meaningful step towards building an inclusive society where Deaf people can communicate, participate and thrive in all spheres of life.
Whether you are a parent, teacher, healthcare professional, student, employer, or simply someone who values inclusion, your journey towards meaningful communication can begin today. Don't just support Deaf inclusion; learn to communicate!
π Location: Jethalal Chambers, along Tubman Road/Biashara Street, opposite Jamia Mall, next to Greenview Restaurant, 4th Floor, Room 404, Nairobi, Kenya.
