Kenya Private Schools Association KPSA is an association established in 1994 for private school proprietors who own Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary & Private Teacher Training Institutions.

Kenya Private Schools Association covers private institutions whether low-cost, medium or high-cost provided that they are duly registered and pursuing a curriculum that has been approved by the Ministry of Education.

🌊 A Memorable Conclusion to the KPSA Regional Meetings!

The KPSA Regional Meetings concluded on a high note in Malindi, bringing together school directors and KPSA leadership for a day of meaningful conversations, learning and connection.

From practical discussions on tax compliance and KRA obligations to reflections on the strategic role of school directors in building strong, sustainable and future-ready schools, the meeting was both insightful and impactful.

We were honoured by the presence of our National Chairperson, National Executive Council members and Coastal Region leadership, whose participation reaffirmed the strength and unity of KPSA across the Coast.

And Malindi added its own special touch! 🌸
Following the Central Region's affectionate name Nyawira, the Coast Region gave our National Chairperson the beautiful name “Warda,” meaning “a flower.” A truly memorable moment!
👏 A sincere appreciation to the entire Coastal Region leadership for the dedication and commitment that made the meeting a success.

As the regional meetings come to a close, we now look ahead to the KPSA Annual Luncheon on 27th November 2026 at Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi , where we will unveil an exciting new chapter through the rebranding of KPSA.

Together, we continue to grow, unite and shape the future of private education in Kenya. ??💛

🏔️💜💛 *A NAME. A MOMENT. A JOURNEY.*

During the KPSA Central Region Directors Forum, held on *Friday, 11th September 2026, in Kenol, Murang’a,* the National Chairperson, Madam Rosebella Ojiambo, received a truly special honour from the directors.

In a powerful demonstration of unity, appreciation and solidarity, the directors embraced their Chairperson and bestowed upon her the name “ *Nyawira* ” — a name that represents hard work, determination, resilience and the spirit of climbing the mountain.

The moment was more than the giving of a name. It was a declaration of confidence, unity and a shared commitment to the journey ahead.

As KPSA continues to rise towards greater heights, Madam Rosebella Ojiambo is not climbing the mountain alone. She climbs alongside the directors, the counties and the entire KPSA family.

The mountain may be high, the journey may be demanding, but together, we shall climb it. 🏔️

🤝 STRENGTHENING PARTNERSHIPS FOR QUALITY EDUCATION

The KPSA National Chairperson, Madam Rosebella Ojiambo, had a brief, impromptu yet significant engagement with the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, EGH, and was joined by the Principal Secretary, State Department for Basic Education, John Lekakeny Ololtuaa, CBS.

The cordial engagement underscored the importance of continued collaboration between the Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) and the Ministry of Education in strengthening Kenya’s education sector.

Such engagements are instrumental in fostering stronger partnerships, enhancing dialogue, and ensuring that the private education sector continues to play its vital role in complementing Government efforts towards the provision of quality and inclusive education for all learners.

KPSA remains committed to constructive engagement with the Ministry of Education and other key stakeholders as it continues to champion the interests of private schools, educators, and learners across the country.

Building Stronger Association , Shaping a Stronger Future.

Following the successful KPSA Coastal Region Ball Games, the KPSA National Chairperson, Madam Rosebella Ojiambo, was warmly hosted for a dinner by the Coastal Region leadership.

The evening provided an excellent opportunity for meaningful engagement and strategic discussions on the future of the Association in the Coastal Region. Key areas of discussion included strengthening KPSA structures, enhancing member recruitment and retention, promoting unity among private school owners, increasing advocacy on issues affecting private education, and fostering closer collaboration with education stakeholders.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both the National and Regional leadership to build a vibrant, responsive, and impactful Association that continues to serve the interests of private schools while championing quality, inclusive, and sustainable education.

KPSA extends its sincere appreciation to the Coastal Region leadership for their warm hospitality, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the growth of the Association. Together, we remain focused on empowering our members, strengthening partnerships, and creating a brighter future for private education in Kenya.

🕊️ In Loving Memory | Message of Condolence 🕊️

The Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) joins the people of Uganda in mourning the heartbreaking loss of pupils, staff, and the school director of King David Junior School following the tragic road accident.

We extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the King David Junior School community, the National Private Educational Institutions Association in Uganda (NAPEIA-U), and the entire education fraternity in Uganda.

May God grant strength, comfort, and peace to all those affected during this difficult time, and may He grant a swift recovery to those who were injured.
