Phnom Penh, Cambodia β On September 18, 2026, in alignment with its mission to elevate higher education and address the rapid advancements in technology and industry, CamTech University officially hosted the 5th Industry Forum and Career Fair. The high-level event convened leaders from government, academia, and top-tier private sector enterprises to address labor market shifts and drive human capital development. The event gathered prominent industry leaders from top enterprises, including Canadia Bank, Intercare Hospital, ISI Group, Chip Mong Bank, Chip Mong Group, DFI Lucky Private Limited, Mega Asset Management, Cart Tire Cambodia and Dara Hotels Group.
Delivering the opening address, Prof. Dr. Khieng Sothy, Founding President of CamTech University, emphasized the strategic imperative of integrating higher education with real-world industry demands to build a resilient, highly skilled workforce capable of competing nationally and internationally.
The forum featured a keynote presentation by H.E. Dr. Hul Seingheng, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI), titled "Preparing Global Leaders for the Future of Work". His address highlighted the essential role of human leadership and ethics in an era increasingly driven by automation.
A panel discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Leng Phirom brought together distinguished expertsβH.E. Dr. Hul Seingheng, Mr. Phoeurn Phally, Dr. Bulat Akhmetkarimov, and Mr. Lay Chantheara. The panel addressed key structural challenges, including closing the skills gap, fostering public-private-academic (triple-helix) collaboration, and empowering students to shift from traditional job seekers into innovative problem solvers and opportunity creators. The outcomes of this insightful panel discussion provided invaluable input for curriculum development and enhancement to ensure greater relevance and quality.
Additionally, presentations were delivered by corporate industries to highlight their company profiles and job opportunities, alongside a student project showcase designed to directly connect our students with potential employers.
Marking a major milestone of the event, CamTech University signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ZTO Express (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. The agreement establishes a partnership focused on applied joint research and pre-employment workforce training.
CamTech University remains dedicated to research, innovation, and technological advancement, actively driving technology transfer and cross-sector collaboration to address industry challenges across Cambodia.
