[Day One of Training Workshop on Professional Negotiation Skills for Diplomats of MLC Countries]

IISPP of RUPP - Royal University of Phnom Penh is pleased to contribute to the Training Workshop on Professional Negotiation Skills for Diplomats of Mekong-Lancang Countries, hosted by Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (NSC-MLC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation from 24–26 September 2026 in Siem Reap.

As the pedagogical lead, IISPP supported the development of the training curriculum and programme.

Day One featured trainers Assoc. Prof. Neak Chandarith, Prof. Yang Yue, and Prof. Xiong Wei, covering the Evolution of MLC 2.0, ASEAN-China Relations, China’s Approach to Conflict Mediation, Core Principles of Chinese Foreign Policy, and International Negotiation and Communication Strategy.

Dr. Vong Mun (Mark) attended the 2026 EuroSEAS Conference in Madrid, Spain, where he presented his book chapter on Political Change, Social Media, and Everyday Resistance in Cambodia.

Published by Routledge in the edited volume The State and Digital Governance in Southeast Asia, the chapter examines Facebook as a platform for political participation amid a weakening civil society in Cambodia.
