Another group of RUPPers currently participating in their academic exchange during the first semester of their third year has arrived and commenced settling in the Netherlands. 🇳🇱

Certainly, it was not solely RUPPers; they were also joined by students from Cambodia University of Technology and Science (CamTech). 🇰🇭

The International Relations Office of the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) is delighted to congratulate our three outstanding students on their successful selection as exchange students under the G-DORM Project at Niigata University, Japan.

1. Mr. Samnang Oudom Pheakdey
2nd Year, Department of Data Science and Engineering, Faculty of Engineering

2. Ms. Thong Chanchav
2nd Year, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science

3. Ms. Samphas Pichwattanak
2nd Year, Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering

They will undertake their exchange study at Niigata University from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027 and will receive a scholarship from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO).

This is a wonderful opportunity for them to enhance their academic knowledge, internship experience, research skills, intercultural understanding, and international perspectives.

We are very proud of their achievement and wish them every success and an enriching experience in Japan.

នៅក្នុងជំនួបនេះ ភាគីទាំងពីរបានពិភាក្សាអំពីឱកាសនៃកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការស្រាវជ្រាវរួមគ្នាលើការអនុវត្តដំណោះស្រាយផ្អែកលើធម្មជាតិ (Nature-based Solutions) នៅក្នុងតំបន់ទីក្រុង ព្រមទាំងលទ្ធភាពនៃការពង្រីកលំហបៃតងនៅក្នុងបរិវេណសាកលវិទ្យាល័យភូមិន្ទភ្នំពេញ។ បន្ថែមពីនេះ ភាគីទាំងពីរក៏បានពិភាក្សាអំពីលទ្ធភាពនៃការបង្កើតកម្មវិធីផ្លាស់ប្តូរនិស្សិត (Student Exchange Program)​​ ផងដែរ។

Phnom Penh, 17 September, 2026: Professor Oum Ravy, Vice-Rector in charge of International Relations and high representative of His Excellency Professor Chet Chealy, Rector of the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), along with colleagues, warmly welcomed Mr. Ben Furmage, Chief Executive Officer of the Water Sensitive Cities Australia Program of Monash University, and his delegation.

During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for joint research on the adoption of nature-based solutions in urban areas, as well as the potential expansion of green space on the Royal University of Phnom Penh campus. Additionally, both sides explored the potential to establish a student exchange program.

This discussion lays a solid foundation for both institutions to assess the feasibility of implementing nature-based solutions and developing green spaces to advance their sustainability agendas, while fostering academic and cultural exchange between the two universities.

Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (WUAS) is now accepting nominations for students who wish to participate in the Spring Semester Exchange from February to June 2027 in the Netherlands. 🇳🇱

💰 The Erasmus+ scholarship for the exchange programme will cover most expenses. Students are responsible for other expenses incurred before and during the mobility period. Nonetheless, selected applicants must still budget for personal or other expenses before receiving the grant.
